Date: June 26, 2025
Subject: RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Declaration for Schneider Electric
Dear Customer,
With effect from July 1, 2006, the European Directive 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS), its amendment 2011/65/EU of June 8, 2011, and the Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 of March 31, 2015, restrict the use in Europe of certain electrical and/or electronic equipment of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, brominated flame retardants such as polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) and polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and as of July 22, 2019, of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).
Schneider Electric has made RoHS compliance for its products a priority. For products that do not fall within the scope of RoHS, the majority of Schneider Electric electrical products are compatible with the RoHS directive. This position is fully in line with Schneider Electric's environmental policy and the EN IEC 63000:2018 standard.
The following information provides the current product status concerning the regulation in force as of the publication date of this document. Future changes in product design or the directive may alter the status reported here. If the product falls within the legal scope of the RoHS directive, please note that this document does not constitute a CE declaration. For the CE declaration, please refer to the Schneider Electric download center. As part of our company's sustainable environmental policy, we continuously work to develop products and services that reduce the impact on the environment or health when used for their intended purpose and under the conditions indicated in the documentation provided by Schneider Electric.
