Introduction
Dear Customer,
Effective July 1st, 2006, the European Directive 2002/95/EC ("Restriction of Hazardous Substances" - RoHS), its recast 2011/65/EU of June 8th, 2011, and the Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 of March 31st 2015, restrict the use in Europe of certain electrical and/or electronic equipment concerning lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) flame retardants. From July 22nd 2019, this also includes Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), Dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).
Schneider Electric prioritizes RoHS compliance for its products, even those outside the direct scope of RoHS regulations. The majority of Schneider Electric products are RoHS compliant. This commitment aligns with Schneider Electric's environmental policy and the EN50581 standard.
