Warranty Statement

MTD LLC provides a limited warranty for new Craftsman® branded Residential Zero-Turn Tractors (RZT) to the initial purchaser for residential or non-commercial use. This warranty is subject to specific terms, exclusions, and warranty periods.

The Initial Purchaser is the first person to buy the RZT from an authorized Craftsman® product dealer. The limited warranty period is typically three (3) years from the date of original purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

Frames, chassis, and front axles are covered for residential use by a five (5) year limited warranty.

Mowing Decks are warranted under the product's warranty, with optional fabricated cutting deck shells warranted against defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the product, or seven (7) years from the date of initial sale, whichever comes first.

The RZT is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in workmanship or materials during the Warranty Period. MTD LLC will, at its option, repair or replace any defective original part.

To Qualify for this Limited Warranty:

Must be purchased from an authorized Craftsman® branded product Retailer.
Must be used only for residential or non-commercial purposes.
Must be used in a manner consistent with normal and proper intended use.

Who Can Perform Repairs Under This Warranty?

Repairs must be performed by an authorized warranty service provider.

How to Get Service Under This Limited Warranty:

To locate an authorized warranty service provider, contact your authorized Retailer, visit www.Craftsman.com/warranty, or call 1-888-331-4569. A copy of your sales receipt is required for warranty service.

What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover (Exclusions):

RZT purchased from an unauthorized retailer.
Damage due to lack of maintenance or improper maintenance.
Normal wear and tear.
Use inconsistent with the operator's manual, including abuse, misuse, or neglect.
Normal Wear Parts (e.g., blades, belts, tires, spark plugs, filters) are warranted for thirty (30) days from the date of original purchase or delivery.
Lead-Acid and AGM Batteries: Covered by a one (1) year prorated limited warranty.
Alterations or modifications not consistent with the original design.
Paint repairs or replacements are covered for three (3) months.
Wheel rims are covered for three (3) months for manufacturing defects.

This warranty also does not cover:

Loss of time or loss of use of the RZT.
Transportation costs to and from an authorized service provider.
Loss or damage to other equipment or personal items.
Damage from the installation or use of non-OEM parts or accessories.

Limitations:

There are no implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
MTD LLC is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including transportation or rental expenses.
Recovery cannot exceed the purchase price of the product. Alteration of safety features voids the warranty.

This limited warranty grants specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

This product has a low emission engine. Before starting, read and understand the Craftsman® Operator's Manual and the Engine Operator's Manual.
