Warranty Statement

MTD LLC provides this limited warranty for new Craftsman® branded Lawn Tractors to the Initial Purchaser for residential or non-commercial use.

Warranty Period: Three (3) years from the date of purchase, as shown on the original sales receipt.

This warranty covers defects in workmanship or materials for the Lawn Tractor during the Warranty Period. MTD LLC will, at its option, repair or replace any original part determined to be defective.

To Qualify for Warranty

• The Lawn Tractor must have been purchased from an authorized Craftsman® branded product Retailer.
• The Lawn Tractor must have been used only for residential or non-commercial purposes.
• The Lawn Tractor must have been used in a manner consistent with its normal and proper intended use.

Service and Support

Repairs under this warranty must be performed by an authorized warranty service provider.

What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover (Exclusions)

• Lawn Tractors purchased from unauthorized Craftsman® branded product Retailers.
• Damage due to lack of maintenance or improper maintenance as described in the operator's manual.
• Normal wear and tear resulting from use.
• Use inconsistent with intended use, including abuse, misuse, or neglect.
• Normal Wear Parts: Warranted for thirty (30) days from the date of original purchase. This includes items such as blades, blade adapters, grass bags, deck wheels, seats, tires, belts, fuses, hoses, spark plugs, filters, and other consumable items.
• Batteries (Lead-Acid and AGM): Covered by a one (1) year prorated limited warranty. 100% replacement during the first three (3) months from the date of original purchase. After three (3) months, replacement credit is prorated based on remaining months in the twelve (12) month period. Any replacement battery is warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period.
• Any Lawn Tractor that has been altered or modified in an unapproved manner or inconsistent with its original design.
• Paint repairs or replacements for defective paint: Covered for three (3) months.
• Wheel rims: Covered for three (3) months for manufacturing defects.

MTD LLC Disclaims Responsibility For:

• Loss of time or loss of use of the Lawn Tractor.
• Transportation costs and other expenses incurred for transport to/from an authorized service provider.
• Any loss or damage to other equipment or personal items.
• Damage resulting from the installation or use of any accessory or non-OEM part.

Limitations

• No implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose apply after the applicable warranty period.
• The exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of the defective part.
• MTD LLC is not liable for incidental or consequential loss or damages (including transportation, related expenses, or rental expenses for temporary replacement).
• Recovery cannot exceed the purchase price of the product.
• Alteration of safety features voids the warranty.
• The user assumes all risk and liability for loss, damage, or injury arising from the use, misuse, or inability to use the product.

(Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or incidental/consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.)
