Limited Warranty Statement

This document outlines the limited warranty for Craftsman® branded Lawn Tractors provided by MTD LLC to the Initial Purchaser for residential or non-commercial use.

Scope of Limited Warranty

• General Warranty Period: Three (3) years from the date of original purchase or delivery, whichever is later.
• Frame and Cast-iron Front Axle: Five (5) year limited warranty for "Residential Use".
• Mowing Decks: Covered under the product's warranty. Optional fabricated cutting deck shells are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the product owned by the Initial Purchaser, or seven (7) years from the date of initial sale/delivery, whichever comes first.

Defects in Workmanship or Materials

Craftsman® Lawn Tractors are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in workmanship or materials for the applicable Warranty Period. MTD LLC will, at its option, repair or replace any original part determined to be defective.

To Qualify for Warranty

• Purchase from an authorized Craftsman® branded product Retailer.
• Use only for residential or non-commercial purposes.
• Use in a manner consistent with normal and proper intended use.

Warranty Service

Repairs must be performed by an authorized warranty service provider. To locate one, contact your authorized Retailer, visit www.craftsman.com/warranty, or call 1-888-331-4569. A copy of your sales receipt is required.

What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover (Exclusions)

• Products purchased from unauthorized retailers.
• Damage due to lack of or improper maintenance as described in the operator's manual.
• Normal wear and tear.
• Abuse, misuse, neglect, or use inconsistent with operating instructions.
• Normal Wear Parts (blades, belts, filters, etc.): Warranted for thirty (30) days from purchase/delivery date.
• Batteries (Lead-Acid and AGM): One (1) year prorated warranty (100% replacement within the first three (3) months).
• Products altered or modified in an unapproved manner.
• Paint repairs or replacements: Covered for three (3) months.
• Wheel rims: Covered for three (3) months for manufacturing defects.

MTD LLC Disclaims Responsibility For:

• Loss of time or loss of use of the Lawn Tractor.
• Transportation costs and related expenses for service.
• Loss or damage to other equipment or personal items.
• Damage from installation or use of non-OEM parts or accessories.

Limitations

• No implied warranties (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) apply beyond the stated warranty periods.
• The exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of the defective part.
• MTD LLC is not liable for incidental or consequential loss or damages (e.g., transportation, rental expenses).
• Recovery is limited to the purchase price of the product.
• Alteration of safety features voids the warranty.
