Limited Warranty Statement

MTD LLC - LIMITED WARRANTY FOR CRAFTSMAN® BRANDED LAWN TRACTORS

Limited Warranty

MTD LLC provides this limited warranty to the Initial Purchaser of new Craftsman® branded Lawn Tractors for residential or non-commercial use. This warranty does not cover Emission Control Systems. Refer to the operator's manual for federal emission control warranties.

Scope of the Limited Warranty

The limited warranty period is three (3) years from the date of purchase shown on the original sales receipt. The "Initial Purchaser" is the first person to buy the Lawn Tractor from an authorized Craftsman® dealer, distributor, or retailer.

Defects in Workmanship or Materials

Subject to exclusions, the Lawn Tractor is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in workmanship or materials for the Warranty Period. MTD LLC will, at its option, repair or replace any covered original part found to be defective.

Warranty Qualification Requirements

Purchase from an authorized Craftsman® branded product Retailer.
Use only for residential or non-commercial purposes.
Use consistent with normal and proper intended use.

Warranty Service

Repairs must be performed by an authorized warranty service provider. To locate a provider, contact your authorized Retailer, visit www.Craftsman.com/warranty, or call toll-free 1-888-331-4569. A COPY OF YOUR SALES RECEIPT IS REQUIRED FOR WARRANTY SERVICE.

What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover (Exclusions)

Lawn Tractors purchased from unauthorized retailers.
Damage due to lack of or improper maintenance as described in the operator's manual.
Normal wear and tear from use.
Abuse, misuse, neglect, or use inconsistent with operator's manual instructions.
Normal Wear Parts: Warranted against defects for thirty (30) days from the original purchase date. This includes items such as blades, blade adapters, grass bags, deck wheels, seats, tires, belts, fuses, hoses, spark plugs, and filters.
Lead-Acid and AGM Batteries: Covered by a one (1) year prorated limited warranty (100% replacement during the first three (3) months). Any replacement battery is warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period.
Any Lawn Tractor altered or modified in an unapproved manner.
Paint repairs or replacements for defective paint (covered for three (3) months).
Wheel rims for manufacturing defects (covered for three (3) months).

MTD LLC Disclaims Responsibility For:

Loss of time or loss of use of the Lawn Tractor.
Transportation costs and other expenses incurred for transport to/from a service provider.
Loss or damage to other equipment or personal items.
Damage from installation or use of non-OEM parts or accessories.

Limitations

No implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, apply after the stated warranty period. No other express warranty or guaranty binds MTD LLC. The exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of the defective part. (Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranty duration.)
These provisions provide the sole and exclusive remedy. MTD is not liable for incidental or consequential loss or damages, including transportation, related expenses, or rental expenses for temporary replacement. (Some states do not allow exclusion/limitation of incidental/consequential damages.)
Recovery cannot exceed the product's purchase price. Alteration of safety features voids the warranty. The user assumes risk and liability for use, misuse, or inability to use the product.
