Warranty Statement

MTD LLC provides a limited warranty for Craftsman® branded Lawn Tractors to the initial purchaser for residential or non-commercial use.

Scope of Limited Warranty

The warranty period is three (3) years from the date of purchase for the Lawn Tractor, five (5) years for the frame, and four (4) years for the battery. This warranty applies to new Craftsman® branded Lawn Tractors purchased from an authorized Craftsman® retailer.

Defects in Workmanship or Materials

Under this limited warranty, MTD LLC will, at its option, repair or replace any original part determined to be defective in workmanship or material during the warranty period.

To Qualify for This Limited Warranty, the Lawn Tractor:

Must have been purchased from an authorized Craftsman® branded product retailer.
Must have been used only for residential or non-commercial purposes.
Must have been used in a manner consistent with the normal and proper intended use.

Who Can Perform Repairs Under This Warranty?

Repairs must be performed by an authorized warranty service provider to qualify for the limited warranty.

How to Get Service Under This Limited Warranty:

To locate an authorized warranty service provider, contact your authorized retailer, visit www.Craftsman.com/warranty, or call toll-free 1-888-331-4569. A copy of your sales receipt is required for warranty service.

What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover (Exclusions):

Lawn tractors purchased from unauthorized retailers.
Damage due to lack of or improper maintenance as described in the operator's manual.
Normal wear and tear resulting from use.
Abuse, misuse, or neglect of the lawn tractor, or use inconsistent with operating instructions in the Operator's Manual.
Normal Wear Parts (e.g., blades, belts, tires, batteries, filters) are warranted for thirty (30) days from the date of original purchase.
Alterations or modifications to the product not consistent with its original design or unapproved modifications.
Paint repairs or replacements for defective paint are covered for three (3) months.
Wheel rims are covered for three (3) months for manufacturing defects.

This Warranty Does Not Cover and MTD LLC Disclaims Responsibility For:

Loss of time or loss of use of the lawn tractor.
Transportation costs and other expenses incurred in connection with the transport of the lawn tractor to and from the authorized service provider.
Any loss or damage to other equipment or personal items.
Damage resulting from the installation or use of any accessory or non-OEM (original equipment manufacturer) part.

Limitations:

No implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, apply after the applicable warranty period. No other express warranty or guaranty binds MTD LLC. The exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of the defective part.
MTD LLC is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including transportation or rental expenses. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.
Recovery will not exceed the purchase price of the product. Alteration of safety features voids the warranty. You assume the risk and liability for loss, damage, or injury arising out of the use or misuse or inability to use the product.

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
