Troubleshooting
Problem: The unit will not turn on or play music.
- Ensure the BATTERY MODE ON/OFF switch is OFF when using AC power and ON when using batteries.
- Check if the battery power is low and replace batteries if necessary.
- Verify the AC ADAPTER is plugged into a working outlet.
Problem: Unit powers on but the volume doesn't work.
- If battery power is extremely low, the volume may be non-functional. Replace batteries or use the AC ADAPTER.
Problem: Unit has fresh batteries, BATTERY MODE ON/OFF switch is ON, but the unit still will not turn on.
- Ensure the AC ADAPTER is disconnected from the DC IN JACK. If the AC ADAPTER is plugged into the unit, battery power is bypassed even if the BATTERY MODE ON/OFF switch is ON and the adapter is not plugged into a wall outlet.
Problem: Sound distortion at higher volumes.
- Low battery power can cause distortion. Replace batteries or use the AC ADAPTER.
- Some iPod EQ settings may cause distortion at high volume. For best results, set EQ to OFF on your iPod.
Problem: After playing a few minutes, the iPod screen goes dark.
- Refer to your iPod's manual to change settings and prevent it from reverting to Power Saver mode.
