The Brookstone 92-Hour Rechargeable Battery is a portable power bank designed to keep your mobile devices, including iPhones and smartphones, charged when you are away from a power outlet. It offers a substantial capacity for extended use.

DANGER
To reduce the risk of electric shock, burns, fire, or injury:
- Do not use while bathing or in a shower.

- The unit should be situated away from direct sunlight or heat sources such as radiators, electric heaters, heat registers, stoves, or other units (including amplifiers) that produce heat. Avoid placing on top of stereo equipment that radiates heat.
- Never block the air openings of the unit with materials such as clothing, plastic bags, or papers, or place it on a soft surface such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked.
- Do not overload electrical outlets. Use only the power source as indicated.
- Do not carry this unit by the cord or use the cord as a handle.
- Never operate this unit if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. If the unit's power supply cord or plug is damaged, do not attempt to fix it yourself.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair the unit. Incorrect repair can cause risk of electric shock or injury to persons when the unit is used.
- Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
- Never remove the plug from the socket by pulling the power cord.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
- Dispose of the old battery properly. Do not dispose of the old battery in a fire.
- Do not dispose of this product in regular household trash. Dispose of spent battery in accordance with your state and federal laws.
Accessories
The following accessories are included with the Brookstone 92-Hour Rechargeable Battery:
- 1. Storage Pouch: A soft, drawstring bag designed to hold the battery and its accessories.
- 2. 3.5 DC Dual USB Cable: A cable featuring a 3.5mm DC input connector on one end and two USB-A output connectors on the other, allowing simultaneous charging of the battery and another device, or charging the battery from a compatible source.
- 3. Dual USB AC Adapter: A compact wall charger with two USB-A ports, capable of outputting 5V DC at 2A.
- 4. USB Charge and Sync Cable for iPod and iPhone: A cable with a standard USB-A connector for connecting to a power source or computer, and a 30-pin Apple connector for compatible iPod and iPhone models.
- 5. Mini 5 Pin USB Cable: A cable with a standard USB-A connector and a 5-pin Mini-USB connector, used for charging compatible devices.
- 6. Micro USB Cable: A cable with a standard USB-A connector and a Micro-USB connector, used for charging compatible devices.
- 7. Car Charger: A device that plugs into a vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket) and provides two USB-A ports for charging devices.
- 8. Battery Charger: This refers to the main rechargeable battery unit itself, indicated by the number 8 in the diagram, which is the subject of this manual.
Location of Controls
The Brookstone 92-Hour Rechargeable Battery features the following controls and indicators:
- 1. Power Switch: A button used to turn the unit on/off or check battery status.
- 2. LED Power Indicators: A series of lights that indicate the battery's charge level.
- 3. USB Charge Port (Output): A standard USB-A port used to charge external devices.
- 4. 3.5 DC Charge Jack (Input): A port for connecting the charger to recharge the battery pack.
- 5. LED Light: A small flashlight integrated into the unit.
- 6. Main Housing: The external casing of the battery pack.
Using the Battery
Charging the Battery
You can charge the Battery using three methods:
- Connect the Battery to the USB Power Adapter using the included 3.5 DC Dual USB Cable and plug the USB Power Adapter into an electrical outlet.
- Plug the USB Charge and Sync Cable into the included Car Charger and charge via your car's power outlet.
- Plug the dual USBs (from the 3.5 DC Dual USB Cable) into two USB ports on your computer.
When the Battery is charging, the LED Power Indicator lights will blink. When the unit is fully charged, all LED Power Indicator lights will illuminate steadily.
When the Battery is disconnected from the charge source, the LED Power Indicator lights will illuminate to show the percentage of charge:
- One LED Power Indicator illuminated means Battery is 5% to 19% charged.
- Two LED Power Indicators illuminated means Battery is 20% to 79% charged.
- Three LED Power Indicators illuminated means Battery is 80% to 100% charged.
Note: Use two USB ports at the same time for quicker charging.
You can also press the Power Switch while the unit is charging to check battery status.
Charging Your Devices
Connect the Battery to your device with the correct cable to charge. The Brookstone 92-Hour Rechargeable Battery is compatible with various devices, including iPhones, iPods, BlackBerries, HTC phones, and T-Mobile G1 smartphones, when using the appropriate charging cables.
The battery can be charged by using the 3.5 DC Dual USB Cable with the USB Power Adapter, connecting your item simultaneously. Alternatively, you can charge your device directly by using the USB Charge and Sync Cable for iPod and iPhone with the Car Charger.
You may also charge and sync your iPod and iPhone by connecting it to your PC or laptop with the included USB Charge and Sync cable.
Using the LED Light
This unit is also equipped with a flashlight. To operate, press and hold the POWER SWITCH for two seconds to turn the light on, and press and hold the POWER SWITCH for two seconds to turn the light off.

Care and Maintenance
Wipe the Battery with a clean, soft, dry cloth and keep it and all its components together in the storage pouch.
IMPORTANT: Never try to disassemble the Battery; there are no serviceable parts inside.

One (1) Year Limited Warranty
Brookstone® warrants this product against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the original purchaser ("Warranty Period"). If a defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its option, Brookstone will either 1) repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or 2) replace the product with a new product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or 3) provide a store credit in the amount of the purchase price of the original product.
A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part installed in accordance with instructions provided by Brookstone, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Brookstone's property. When a store credit is given, the original product must be returned to Brookstone and becomes Brookstone's property.
Obtaining Service
To obtain warranty service, call Brookstone Limited Warranty Service at 1-800-292-9819. Please be prepared to describe the product that needs service and the nature of the problem. A purchase receipt is required. All repairs and replacements must be authorized in advance. Service options, parts availability, and response times will vary. You are responsible for delivery and the cost of delivery of the product or any parts to the authorized service center for replacement, per our instructions.
Limits and Exclusions
Coverage under this Limited Warranty is limited to the United States of America, including the District of Columbia and the U.S. Territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This Limited Warranty applies only to products manufactured for Brookstone that can be identified by the "Brookstone" trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them or their packaging. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-Brookstone products. Manufacturers or suppliers other than Brookstone may provide their own warranties to the purchaser, but Brookstone, in so far as permitted by law, provides these products "as is."
This warranty does not apply to:
- a) damage caused by failure to follow instructions relating to product's use or the installation of components;
- b) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, floods, earthquake, or other external causes;
- c) damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of Brookstone;
- d) accessories used in conjunction with a covered product;
- e) a product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability;
- f) items intended to be periodically replaced by the purchaser during the normal life of the product including, without limitation, batteries or light bulbs;
- g) any product sold "as is" including, without limitation, floor demonstration models and refurbished items; or
- h) a product that is used commercially or for a commercial purpose.
Brookstone shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of this product, or arising out of any breach of this warranty. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Brookstone disclaims any and all statutory or implied warranties, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and warranties against hidden or latent defects. If Brookstone cannot lawfully disclaim statutory or implied warranties, then to the extent permitted by law, all such warranties shall be limited in duration to the duration of this express warranty.
Some states disallow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
