Installation Steps and Diagrams
Step 1A & 1B: PIR Sensor Coverage
Diagrams illustrate the Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor's detection pattern, showing a wide coverage angle (120°). The device is rated for IEC Pollution Degree II.
Step 2: PIR Detection Range and Height
This diagram shows the PIR sensor's detection range. The maximum range is up to 7.0 meters (23 ft) when mounted at a height between 2.4 meters and 4.0 meters (7.9 ft to 13.1 ft). Optimal performance, including maximum range, is achieved at temperatures at or below 25° C (77° F).
Step 3: Protective Earth (PE) Connection
Illustrates the correct connection for the Protective Earth (PE) terminal. The diagram shows a checkmark [✔️] for proper connection and crosses [❌] for incorrect placement. The PE connection should be made with wire less than 1 mm² (16+ AWG) and tightened to 0.4 Nm (3.5 Lb-in). The device is rated for IEC Overvoltage Category III.
Step 4: IR Sensor Coverage
Depicts the Infrared (IR) sensor's detection pattern, typically a more directional beam with a 120° angle. The diagram indicates correct placement with a checkmark [✔️] and incorrect placement with crosses [❌].
Step 5: Wiring Details
This diagram details the wiring connections. It specifies wire gauge requirements of less than 1 mm² (16+ AWG) and a torque setting of 0.4 Nm (3.5 Lb-in) for connections. The DALI/ELV interface operates at 9.5-22.5 V and 9 mA, with DALI insulation classified as Basic.
Step 6: Mounting and Cable Entry
Shows the sensor's mounting dimensions and the required hole size for cable entry, which is Ø6.5 mm (0.26 in). The mounting torque specification is 0.5 Nm (4.4 Lb-in). The diagram also indicates cable entry size compatibility for cables ranging from 3 mm to 25 mm (0.12 in to 0.98 in).
Step 7A: Cable Entry Dimensions
Provides specific dimensions for cable entry, showing a main entry size of 64 mm (2.51 in) and a clamp size of 25 mm (0.98 in).
Step 7B: Mounting Bracket and Cable Routing
Illustrates the mounting bracket and the method for routing cables through it. Dimensions for the bracket components are shown as 70 mm (2.75 in), 60 mm (2.36 in), and 50 mm (1.96 in).
Step 7C: Wiring Terminals and Connections
Details the wiring terminals, including connections for SELV/Class 2 power, DyNet RS-485, and other potential interfaces. It specifies wire gauge requirements of 2.5 mm² (12+ AWG) and a torque setting of 0.4 Nm (3.5 Lb-in) for these terminals.
Step 8: DALI System Example
This diagram shows a typical DALI lighting control system setup. It illustrates connections between DALI controllers, such as the DDBC120-DALI and DDBC320-DALI, and DALI-compatible devices like LED drivers or lamps.
Step 9: Labeling and Barcode Application
Depicts the process of applying identification labels or barcodes to the product or its packaging for tracking and management.
