Installation Instructions

Philips OCC0100A/02 BP Sensor WH

Philips OCC0101A/02 DL BP Sensor WH

Product Overview

This document provides installation instructions for the Philips BP Sensor WH (model OCC0100A/02) and the Philips DL BP Sensor WH (model OCC0101A/02). These are motion and occupancy sensors designed for lighting control applications.

The sensors are white, cylindrical devices.

Important Safety Information

Note: Battery replacement must be performed by a skilled or instructed person.

Caution: Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

Battery: Requires 1x R6 Li-Ion 3.6V battery with a lifetime exceeding 8 years.

Operating Temperature: Minimum -5°C, Maximum +45°C.

Weight: 0.090 kg.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Mounting Plate Installation

Begin by installing the circular mounting plate. This plate features screw holes for secure attachment and a central opening for wiring. The diameter of the mounting plate is 86.5 mm (3.41 in).

Step 2: Sensor Mounting

Mount the sensor onto the ceiling. The recommended mounting height is between 2.5 meters and 4 meters (8.2 to 13.1 ft). The detection range is specified as greater than 3 meters (9.8 ft).

Step 3: Coverage Area

The detection coverage area varies depending on the mounting height:

  • At a 2.5m (8.2 ft) mounting height, the coverage area is approximately 5.4m x 7.2m (17.7 ft x 23.6 ft).
  • At a 3.6m (11.8 ft) mounting height, the coverage area is approximately 5.4m x 5.4m (17.7 ft x 17.7 ft).

Step 4: Detection Parameters

The detection diameter is calculated based on the mounting height (h) using the formula Ø 1.4 x h. A minimum mounting height of 0.7 x h is advised. The sensor is equipped with a lux sensor to measure ambient light levels.

Step 5: Wiring and Battery Installation

Connect the necessary electrical wires to the sensor's terminals. Subsequently, insert the R6 Li-Ion 3.6V battery into its designated compartment. The sensor includes a FOV (Field of View) indicator.

Step 6: OCC0101A/02 DL Model Specifics

This step is exclusive to the OCC0101A/02 DL BP Sensor WH model. It may involve a "Green 10 s" indicator, which likely signifies its daylight sensing function or operational status.
