3. Operation

The CLUP offers different operating modes:

LED Status Indicators:

For optimal cleaning results, it is recommended to place the soldering iron tip between the two brushes for approximately 1 second. Longer exposure may lead to dewetting of the tip surface, causing oxidation.

If excessive pressure is applied to the brushes with the tool, the cleaner will automatically stop to protect the motors. Removing the tool from the sensor detection area will reactivate the cleaner.

The CLUP automatically switches off if the splashguard is opened during operation.

A diagram shows a soldering iron tip being inserted into the CLUP cleaner between the rotating brushes.

4. Brush Replacement

Replacing the brushes is a simple process:

  1. Pull the locking tab to open the splashguard.
  2. To remove used brushes, pull them out of the cleaner by pressing their two opposite buttons.
  3. To insert new brushes, simply push them into place without pressing the buttons.

Illustrations demonstrate pulling the locking tab to open the splashguard and how to press buttons to remove used brushes, and insert new ones.

5. Collection Tray

The solder collection tray can be removed for disposal of solder waste. The tray can be removed without needing to disassemble the brushes.
