Product appearance
The camera features a lens, microphone, speaker, Type-C port, Micro-SD card slot, power button, and reboot hole. It also has indicator lights for white light and infrared light, and an infrared sensor.
Quick start
The wireless smart battery camera supports battery-powered and AC-powered supply.
- Download and install the App:
Download the VicoHome App for Android or iOS by scanning the QR code or visiting https://www.vicohome.io/download/. Follow the instructions to complete user registration.
- Add the device:
Sign in to the App, connect to Wi-Fi, and add the device by following the prompts. Ensure the device is close to the router during configuration.
Power on/off and network configuration:
- Long press the power button for 3 seconds to power on/off the device.
- Double-click the power button to enter network configuration mode.
- Follow the App instructions to configure the camera network when connecting for the first time.
Bind the camera
- Click "Add Now" in the app, press and hold the camera power button for 3 seconds to turn it on. The app will search for available devices. Select the device to bind.
- Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password. The camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks and does not support enterprise-level authentication.
- After successful connection, the camera will play a sound. Set a name and location for the camera in the app and click "Finish" to complete pairing.
Possible problems with binding:
- Wi-Fi Password Error: Verify the Wi-Fi password.
- Authentication error: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is not enterprise-level and supports security levels below WPA-2.
- Wi-Fi not found: Check the Wi-Fi name, place the device near the router, and ensure the router is powered on. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.
- Retrieving IP timeout: Too many devices connected to the router. Restart the router or remove unused devices.
- Cloud service connection fail: Check the router's external network connection. Temporarily disable the firewall if necessary.
Install the camera
The camera can be placed on a shelf or mounted on a wall.
- Select a good spot: Choose a location with an unobstructed view and within Wi-Fi network coverage.
- Install the bracket:
- Screw fixing: Mark holes on the wall, drill, insert expansion nuts, and attach the bracket with screws.
- Fix the camera: Align the bracket screw with the camera's screw hole and tighten.
- Adjust the angle: Adjust the camera to the desired angle and tighten the base by rotating clockwise.
Charge the camera
The App will notify you when the battery is low. Use the Micro USB cable and a 5V/1.5A charging adapter. The indicator light is solid yellow while charging and turns solid green when fully charged. Charging takes approximately 10 hours.

Share the camera
Share camera access with family or friends. The admin user can generate a shared QR code via the app. Other users can scan this code to add the device. The admin user receives a confirmation to accept the sharing.

Firmware upgrade
The App will notify you of available firmware updates. You can also check manually in the App settings. Ensure the camera is fully charged or connected to power before upgrading. Do not cut off power during the upgrade.

A: Open the App, select your camera, click the share button or "Share" in camera settings to enter the sharing page, then click "Invite" to generate a QR code. Friends can scan the QR code to gain access. - Q: Why doesn't the Wi-Fi name appear when I connect to Wi-Fi?
A: On Apple devices with iOS13 and above, turn on "location permission" for the app in system settings and set it to "allow when using." - Q: Will the camera show red lights when night vision is activated?
A: The built-in infrared lamp beads cause dim red lights when night vision is activated, but image quality remains clear in low-light conditions. - Q: What are the requirements for Wi-Fi?
A: Use a 2.4GHz wireless network. The device does not support 5GHz networks. Set the Wi-Fi authentication method to WPA2-PSK or lower, and a password is required. - Q: How far should the camera be placed from the router?
A: The Wi-Fi connection distance can normally reach up to 150 meters in open areas, but this depends on Wi-Fi strength and surrounding environment. If the signal is weak, place the camera closer to the router. - Q: What is the maximum length of recording time?
A: If set to "Auto", the camera records for up to 3 minutes when motion is detected. - Q: How to quickly view videos by category?
