Step 3: Connect to Wi-Fi Network

Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password to join the WLAN network.

5. Install the Camera

The camera can be placed on surfaces or mounted to a wall using the included hardware.

  1. Select a good spot:

Install the camera at a height of approximately 7 feet (2.1 meters) and angle it downwards by 10° to 15°. This positioning optimizes the motion detector. The motion sensor is sensitive to movements across the field of view. For best performance, ensure typical movements cross the field of view, within a range of 5 to 20 feet (1.5 to 6 meters).

  2. Install the bracket:

Screw fixing: Use a drilling tool to punch holes on the wall based on the bracket's hole distance. Mark holes before drilling. Screw expansion nuts into the holes, then attach the bracket using screws.

Fixing the camera: Align the bracket screw with the camera's screw hole and rotate to tighten.

12. FAQ

  1. Q: Camera permission management: How to invite family and friends to use my camera together?

A: Open the App, select your camera, click the share button or 'Share' in settings, then 'Device Sharing' to generate a QR code. Friends can scan it to get access rights.

  2. Q: Why doesn't the WiFi name appear when I connect to WiFi?

A: On Apple devices (iOS13+), ensure 'location permission' is enabled for the App ('allow when using').

  3. Q: Will the camera show red lights when night vision is activated?

A: The camera shows dim red lights from infrared lamp beads when night vision is active, but image quality remains clear in low light.

  4. Q: What are the requirements for WiFi?

A: Use a 2.4GHz wireless network. 5GHz networks are not supported. Use WPA2-PSK or lower security methods. A password is required.

  5. Q: How far should the camera be placed from the router?

A: The WiFi connection can reach up to 150 meters in open areas. However, signal strength depends on the environment (walls, electromagnetic devices, metal objects). For weak or unstable signals, place the camera closer to the router.

  6. Q: What is the length of recording time?

A: You can set the duration to 10sec/15sec/20sec in the App.

  7. Q: What to do if the battery doesn't last long?

A: 1) Adjust camera position to avoid false triggers (e.g., trees). 2) Set motion detection sensitivity to 'Low' or 'Medium'. 3) Enable 'Cool down time' to prevent continuous recording within the set interval. 4) Change recording duration to 10s. 5) Change recording resolution to SD. 6) Schedule sleep mode for the camera during non-working periods to save battery.

  8. Q: What to do when the camera malfunctions?

A: 1) Long press the power button. If no response, insert a sharp object into the 'Reboot' hole. 2) Reset the camera by pressing the power button twice consecutively. You will need to re-add the camera and network after resetting.
