Troubleshooting Guide
Why can't Wi-Fi connect to the device?
To resolve Wi-Fi connection issues, consider the following:
- Ensure that the network environment is stable.
- Verify whether you are using 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Most products currently on the market, including this device, primarily support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connections.
- If you are attempting to connect via 5 GHz Wi-Fi, please switch to 2.4 GHz. If your Wi-Fi router supports dual-frequency bands, here are two solutions to switch to 2.4 GHz:
- Turn off the 5 GHz physical button on the Wi-Fi router, if available.
- Log into your Wi-Fi router's administration interface (e.g., via wifi.router.net or your router's IP address), set a different SSID (network name) for your 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, and then connect this device specifically to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network name.
Can the device be used in a cold environment?
The device can be charged in a low-temperature environment, but it is not recommended as it may negatively affect battery life. The typical temperature resistance range for lithium batteries is approximately -13°F to 104°F (-25°C to 40°C). Operating or charging beyond this range can significantly reduce discharge capacity, potentially leading to battery failure. The reason for this is that while low-temperature polymer batteries offer better low-temperature performance, they tend to have worse high-temperature resistance.
It is recommended to charge the device at a temperature above 32°F (0°C) to improve battery life. Future updates to lithium battery technology will be considered for battery improvements.
Do I need to purchase a memory card?
No, a 32 GB memory card is provided free of charge, so there is no need for an additional purchase.
Which application is required for device connection?
To connect the device, you need to download the Vicohome application.
