- One solid bar: Nearly empty; unit should be charged.
- Four blank bars: Completely empty; unit MUST be charged. Low voltage protection will activate, and the unit will not operate until recharged.
Charging/Recharging
This unit is delivered partially charged and must be fully charged before first use. Initial AC charge should be for 40 hours or until the battery status icon shows 4 solid bars.
Lead-acid batteries require routine maintenance. Recharge at least every 30 days and after each use if not frequently used.
CAUTION - RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE: Failure to keep the battery charged will cause permanent damage and result in poor performance.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Recharging after each use prolongs battery life.
- Turn off all other unit functions during recharging.
- If the battery icon shows full charge but the unit is discharged, it may indicate high internal battery impedance; charge for 40 hours.
Charging/Recharging Using the Built-In 120 Volt AC Charger:
- Lift the protective cover of the built-in 120 Volt AC Charger.
- Connect an extension cord to the unit and plug into a standard 120-volt AC wall outlet.
- The LCD screen will display charging status (bars filling repeatedly).
- Charge for approximately 40 hours or until the Battery Status Icon shows 4 solid bars.
- Unplug the AC extension cord from the outlet and then from the unit when charging is complete.
Jump-Starter Operation
The unit is equipped with a jump starter power switch that allows energy flow only when proper connections are made to the battery and frame.
- For negative-grounded systems: Connect positive (red) clamp to positive battery post, negative (black) clamp to vehicle chassis or engine block away from the battery. Do not connect to carburetor, fuel lines, or sheet-metal body parts. Connect to a heavy gauge metal part of the frame or engine block.
- For positive-grounded systems: Connect negative (black) clamp to negative battery post, positive (red) clamp to vehicle chassis or engine block away from the battery. Do not connect to carburetor, fuel lines, or sheet-metal body parts. Connect to a heavy gauge metal part of the frame or engine block.
IMPORTANT: Ensure the Compressor Power Button is OFF before using as a Jump Starter.
WARNING - TO REDUCE THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE:
- Follow all safety instructions for jump starters.
- Never touch red and black clamps together.
- If clamps are connected incorrectly (reverse polarity), the unit will sound a continuous alarm, and the LCD will display reverse polarity icons. Disconnect and reconnect with correct polarity.
- If the Jump Starter Power Switch is ON and clamps are not connected to a battery, a warning will sound every 10 seconds.
Procedure:
- Turn off vehicle ignition and all accessories. Place vehicle in "park" and set the emergency brake.
- Ensure the jump-starter power switch is OFF.
- Remove jumper clamps from tabs. Connect the red clamp first, then the black clamp.
- For NEGATIVE GROUNDED SYSTEMS (most common): Connect positive (+) red clamp to vehicle battery’s positive terminal. Connect negative (–) black clamp to chassis or a solid, non-moving, metal vehicle component or body part, away from the battery.
- For POSITIVE GROUND SYSTEMS: Connect negative (–) black clamp to vehicle battery’s negative terminal. Connect positive (+) red clamp to vehicle chassis or a solid, non-moving, metal vehicle component or body part, away from the battery.

WARNING: Follow instructions on articles to be inflated. Never exceed recommended pressure. Monitor pressure on the LCD screen.
CAUTION: Do not operate continuously for longer than 10 minutes to avoid overheating. If longer operation is needed, turn off the compressor for a 30-minute cooling period between uses. The compressor will automatically shut down after 10 minutes of continuous operation.
IMPORTANT: Ensure the Jump Starter Power Button is OFF before using the unit as a Compressor.
Inflating Tires or Products With Valve Stems:
- Screw the Sure Fit® nozzle onto the valve stem.
- Press the Compressor Power Button. The LCD will show current pressure and allow setting desired pressure using [+] and [-] buttons (1-120 PSI).
- Press the Compressor Power Button again to begin inflating. The Compressor Icon flashes, and the digital display shows current pressure.
