Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time. This product is intended for household use only.
General Safety Instructions
- Use the appliance in accordance with the instructions in the manual and QSG.
- The appliance cannot be used outdoors. Do not store the appliance outside.
- Do not store or use the appliance at temperatures below 0°C.
- Your electric appliance should be used under normal operating conditions. Any commercial use or use that deviates from the instruction manual will void the manufacturer's responsibility and warranty.
- Accessories must not be used with any appliance other than the one for which they were designed: CLEAN IT.
- For EU countries: This appliance may be used by children aged 8 and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been supervised and instructed in advance on the safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised. Keep the appliance and its power cord out of reach of children.
- For other countries: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of knowledge or experience, unless they are supervised or have been instructed in advance on the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- Never pull the power cord to unplug the appliance.
- Always unplug the appliance: Before filling the clean water tank. Before emptying the dirty water tank. Before cleaning it. After each use.
- The appliance must be placed on its feet and used on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
- Do not place the appliance on a wet surface.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when connected to the mains supply.
- Water may leak when you remove the tanks.
- Never touch plugs, sockets, or connectors with wet hands.
- Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, if it shows visible signs of damage, if it leaks, or if it does not function correctly. Never disassemble the appliance: take it to an authorized service center for inspection to avoid any risk.
- If water leaks from the appliance unit, unplug it and do not use it anymore. Return it to an authorized service center.
- This appliance is not designed for cleaning clothing.
- If the power cord or suction hose is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the after-sales department, or similarly qualified persons to avoid hazards.
Appliance Maintenance
Follow the steps below to properly maintain your appliance:
- Emptying the dirty water tank after each use: Remove the dirty water tank. Remove the lid and empty the water. Then rinse the lid and the tank. Close the lid and then put the tank back on the appliance.
- Cleaning the dirty water tank: For easy cleaning, pour a few drops of liquid dish soap into the tank and wash it by hand. Let the components air dry before reassembling them.
- Do not wash the water tanks or the product in the dishwasher.
- Cleaning the different components of your product: Remove the accessory from the end of the suction hose. For the narrow and wide brush: Remove the lid and rinse the accessory. Use a clean, soft cloth to dry the accessory or let it air dry before reassembling the components.
- Most importantly, do not use descaling agents (vinegar, industrial descalers, etc.) to rinse the tanks, as they can damage them.
- Unplug the product during cleaning and refilling.
- The appliance must never be immersed in water.
- Do not pour water on the appliance.
- The appliance must be unplugged in the following situations: before cleaning and maintenance, in case of malfunction, as soon as you have finished using it.
- Do not leave the product unattended during operation.
Additional Precautions
- All accessories, consumables, and spare parts must be purchased only from an authorized service center.
- For your safety, this appliance complies with applicable standards and regulations (including directives on low voltage, electromagnetic compatibility, and the environment).
- Check that the mains voltage corresponds to that of your appliance. Any connection error can cause irreparable damage, which is not covered by the warranty.
- Ensure that the suction hose is not blocked before using the product.
- Always connect the appliance: To a power circuit with a voltage between 220 and 240 V.
- Never connect an accessory with a power rating higher than the maximum permitted power indicated near the connector.
- Any connection error can irreversibly damage the product and void the warranty. If you use an extension cord, make sure the plug is of the bipolar 16 A type.
- Fully unwind the power cord before connecting it to an electrical outlet.
- Handle accessories with care.
- Never clean a garment on a person.
- Never use the appliance on animals.
- Transport bags must not, under any circumstances, be used to store anything other than the accessories sold with this product.
- Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and other body parts away from the appliance's cavities and moving parts.
- Do not direct the water jet towards yourself or anyone else. Do not direct the water jet towards the eyes. Do not direct the water jet towards electrical sources (plugs, electrical appliances, etc.).
- The power cord and suction hose must not come into contact with hot surfaces.
- Do not pull on the power cord or suction hose. Do not carry the appliance by the power cord or accessories/suction hose.
- Do not hold the appliance by the air intake area.
- Do not operate the appliance without the water tanks correctly fitted.
- Do not remove the tanks during appliance operation.
- Do not place the product on a carpet with pile longer than 10 mm.
- Before each use, check that the float moves freely and that the dirty water tank has been properly cleaned.
- Do not vacuum wet surfaces, water, or any type of liquid, hot substances, very fine substances (plaster, cement, ash, etc.), large and sharp pieces of debris (glass), hazardous products (solvents, abrasives, etc.), aggressive chemicals (acids, cleaning products, etc.), flammable or explosive products (oil or alcohol-based).
- Do not vacuum perfumes, essential oils, or perfumed water and do not put them in the water tanks.
- Do not vacuum toxic products (bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner, vinegar, etc.) and do not put them in the product.
- Use only water with the cleaning solution recommended by ROWENTA/TEFAL for vacuuming.
- Do not vacuum sharp or hard objects.
- Do not use the appliance in the rain.
- Do not vacuum ash or incandescent materials.
- Do not vacuum liquid soap, detergent, washing products, or essential oils and do not put them in the tanks.
- To disconnect the appliance, pull the plug and not the power cord.
- Do not use the appliance as a vacuum cleaner.
- Do not use the appliance on animals.
Other Uses of the Appliance
- Do not clean tiles or wooden floors.
- Do not use the CLEAN IT appliance to clean toilets.
- Do not unclog toilets using the CLEAN IT appliance.
- Your appliance is intended for household use only. It cannot be used for industrial purposes. The warranty will become null and void if the appliance is used improperly.
- Stop using the appliance if any of the suction openings are blocked.
- Do not insert anything into the suction openings.
- Do not use for drying babies' hair.
- Do not use to defrost your car.
What Water to Use?
- Tap water: Your appliance has been designed to operate with cold, untreated tap water. In some coastal regions, the salt content of the water may be high. In this case, use only bottled water with a low mineral content.
- Do not use the CLEAN IT appliance with hot water.
- Remember: Never use rainwater, pure demineralized water purchased from a store, pure distilled water purchased from a store, or water containing additives (such as starch, perfume, or appliance water).
