Piscifun AtlantiX Electric Fishing Reel
Model: AtlantiX 1500
Introduction
Thank you for choosing Piscifun electric fishing reels. This manual provides detailed instructions on the operation, maintenance, and care of your AtlantiX electric fishing reel to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Names and Functions of Main Parts
- Speed-control switch: Freely controls the take-up speed of the fishing reel. Push forward to increase speed, return to OFF to decrease.
- Star drag: Adjusts drag power. Should be adjusted before fishing to manage spool rotation and prevent line release.
- Cast control knob: Prevents the spool from rotating too fast during reeling out, avoiding line knotting.
- Clutch button: Press to allow the spool to rotate freely (reel-out state). Rotate the handle to engage the take-up state.
- Line guide: Arranges the fishing line evenly on the spool.
Note: Do not lock the star drag to better protect the electric fishing reel.
Power Supply and Connection
This electric fishing reel operates on a 12V DC power supply. Ensure the battery voltage is within the specified range (DC 12-16.8V).
Connecting to Power:
- Clamp the red clip of the power line to the positive pole (+) and the black clip to the negative pole (-) of the battery.
- Insert the other end of the power line into the electric fishing reel's socket and lock with the nut.
- Alternatively, directly insert a lithium battery into the socket and lock with nuts.
Warning: Reversed connection of power poles will activate protection and prevent startup. Do not use power supplies outside the specified voltage range.
Operation Guide
Starting Up:
After connecting the power supply, the reel enters self-check mode and then the reel-out mode.
Function Setting:
- Press and hold the "MENU" and "RESET" keys for 3 seconds to enter the function setting interface.
- Use the speed-control switch to navigate the menu. Press "RESET" to select a function.
- Press and hold the "PICK UP" key to return to the reel-out mode.
Key Functions:
- PICK UP (Instantaneous movement key/return key): Initiates instantaneous movement, stops take-up when used with the speed-control switch, and returns to the previous menu.
- MENU: Accesses the menu.
- RESET (Clear key/Confirm key): Clears data, confirms selections, and corrects broken line length.
- Speed class: Displays and controls the rotation speed (0-Hi).
- Electric power display: Shows battery life.
- Reel-out length: Indicates the length of fishing line released or water depth.
Line Input:
- Thread the fishing line through the line guide and tie it to the spool's binding post. Ensure the line is not knotted.
- Access the "Line Input" menu by pressing "MENU" and "RESET" simultaneously. Select "When line length is known" or "Backing line".
- Follow on-screen prompts for setting the line length or backing line.
Auto Stop:
Allows setting a specific length for automatic stopping during take-up. The reel can be set to stop automatically at a designated length, pause, and repeat the cycle.
Pickup/Jigging:
- OFF: Pickup button is invalid; use only the speed-control switch or handle.
- Pickup: Press and hold the "PICK UP" key for automatic winding. Press again to stop. Speed is adjustable.
- Jigging: The reel automatically stops for a set duration after reaching a specified reel-out length before continuing to kink.
Broken Line Correction:
If the line breaks, this function ensures accurate reeling. Take up the broken line, and use the "RESET" key to correct the kinking length.
Maintenance
Electric Fishing Reel Maintenance:
- Clean with a soft sponge and neutral detergent.
- Rinse with tap water, especially parts with fishing line.
- Dry in a cool place.
Note: Do not clean with seawater, gasoline, or organic solvents. Avoid prolonged soaking or using brushes that may scratch the body.
Power Line Maintenance:
- Wipe dirt with a soft cloth and tap water or warm water. Ensure no damage.
- Inject lubricating oil into the joint after drying.
- Store properly after pulling out.
Warning: Do not use the powerline to lift the reel, flush it with water, place heavy objects on it, or wind it onto the reel after insertion.
