4.1 Características Principales

5. Instalación y Conexiones

5.1 Montaje en pared

This product can be wall-mounted. The mounting steps are as follows:

  1. Separate the white metal cover from the gray magnetic base. These parts are held together magnetically.
  2. Fix the gray base to the junction box mounted on the wall by inserting the screws through the available holes.
  3. Replace the white metal cover onto the gray magnetic base. The magnetic system will hold it firmly in place.

5.2 Requisitos y Configuración de la Red

The WPTI1CG2 is not limited to specific network hardware brands, but the network must support the following features:

! To avoid operational failures, interference, or performance drops due to network bandwidth requirements of other products or network design, it is highly recommended to consult with the IT personnel of the chosen network on how to correctly configure multicast products connected to the local network switch.

5.2.1 Configuración de la dirección IP

The default IP address is "auto IP" in the 169.254.10.x range for transmitters (WPTI1CG2 and VEO-XTI1CG2). It can also be assigned dynamically by the VEO-XCTRLG2 controller if present on the network. For more details, consult the user manual of the VEO-XCTRLG2 controller module.

To check the assigned IP address of a WPTI1CG2 wall plate, use the VEO-1CG2 Discovery App. Since these models do not have front buttons, this tool allows you to locate all VEO-1CG2 series devices on the network, including VEO-XCTRLG2, VEO-XRI1CG2, VEO-XTI1CG2, and WPTI1CG2. For more details, consult the chapter "Ecler VEO1CG2 Discovery Application".

The IP address can be changed using the transmitter's integrated web page. Both the PC's network configuration and the VEO devices' configuration must be in the same network domain to access their web configuration page via an internet browser. For more details, consult the chapter "Configuration via Web Interface".

! When static IP addresses are needed, it is necessary to manually configure the IP address of each device.

5.2.2 Inicio rápido de la distribución de vídeo

To initiate a video transmission, a pairing between a transmitter and a receiver is required. Each WPTI1CG2 or VEO-XTI1CG2 transmitter can send a video signal over the network using a channel ID number that must be unique on the same network. Each channel ID from 0 to 762 identifies an IP address, and each VEO-XRI1CG2 receiver can select one of these channels to receive an AV stream.

The channel ID for transmitters is usually set once during system configuration, while receiver IDs are typically modified to display different content on the screens. The destination receiver ID must be configured on the same channel as the transmitter that is broadcasting the desired source audio and video content.

The channel ID can be selected in four different ways:

  1. Via web page configuration on the same device.
  2. Via web page configuration on VEO-XCTRLG2.
  3. Via TCP on the same device.
  4. Via TCP using the VEO-XCTRLG2.

5.2.3 Modo Multicast

When WPTI1CG2 and VEO-XRI1CG2 devices are connected in a point-to-multipoint or multipoint-to-multipoint topology, each transmitter and receiver must have a unique IP address. Whenever possible, it is recommended to create a separate IP video network using managed network switches. The use of gigabit switches with IGMP support will create the most appropriate scenario.

  1. Configure the IP address for each transmitter and receiver.
  2. Connect the source devices to the HDMI® ports of the WPTI1CG2 transmitters.
  3. Connect the HDMI® endpoints (end points) to the HDMI® ports of the VEO-XRI1CG2 receivers.
  4. Connect the AUDIO OUT port to a sound device and select the desired audio mode. This step is optional and can be omitted if not necessary.
  5. Connect the automation system to the transmitter ports using an RS-232 cable.
  6. Connect the receivers to the control ports of the devices to be controlled using RS-232 cables.
  7. Connect all VEO devices to the network switch using Cat 5e or higher cables.
  8. Power the VEO-XTI1CG2 transmitter and VEO-XRI1CG2 receiver with the included power adapter and turn on the switch. If the switch supports PoE ("Power over Ethernet"), local power supply for the VEO devices will not be necessary.
  9. Select the desired channel ID for each VEO device to establish the necessary video transmission streams.
