• Assemble on a flat, level, hard and smooth surface capable of safely supporting the Wood lateral file cabinets.
• For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, please refer to the Assembly Diagram of this manual. Unwrap and separate all parts in a clean work area.

Assembly Steps

Step 1

Attach the left drawer slide (CL, part of H) to the inner surface of the left side panel (2) using two screws (M). Attach the right drawer slide (CR, part of H) to the inner surface of the right side panel (3) using two screws (M). Ensure correct orientation.

Parts used: Part 2, Part 3, Drawer Slide H (CL) (x1), Drawer Slide H (CR) (x1), Screw M (x4).

Step 2

Connect the side panels (1, 2, 3, 4) and shelves (7, 8) to form the main cabinet structure. Use screws (C) and (D) as indicated in the diagram. The diagram shows panels 1, 2, 3, 4 arranged vertically with shelves 7 and 8 placed horizontally between them.

Parts used: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 7, Part 8, Screw C (x8), Screw D (x8).

Step 3

Attach the back panels (9) to the rear of the partially assembled cabinet structure. The diagram shows two back panels (9) being attached to the left and right sections of the cabinet.

Parts used: Part 9 (x2).

Step 4

Attach the bottom panel (6) to the base of the cabinet structure. Secure it using screws (C) and (D).

Parts used: Part 6, Screw C (x8), Screw D (x12).

Step 5

Install the casters (G) onto the bottom panel (6). The diagram shows five casters being attached, with four at the corners and one in the center for stability. Use screws (M) for attachment.

Parts used: Part 6, Caster G (x5), Screw M (x20).

Step 6

Attach the remaining back panels (9 and 10) to the rear of the cabinet. The diagram shows these panels covering the remaining open sections at the back.

Parts used: Part 9, Part 10.

Step 7

Place the top panel (5) onto the assembled cabinet structure. Secure it from underneath using screws (A).

Parts used: Part 5, Screw A (x8).

Step 8

Attach drawer slides (B) to the inner sides of the cabinet compartments (e.g., between panels 1 & 2, and 3 & 4). Also, attach drawer slides (C) to the outer sides of the drawer sides (12 and 13). Use screws (B) and (C) as indicated.

Parts used: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 12, Part 13, Drawer Slide B (x8), Drawer Slide C (x8).

Step 9

Attach drawer slides (J) and (L) to the sides of the drawer boxes. The diagram shows the attachment points for these slides on the drawer components.

Parts used: Drawer Slide J (x20), Drawer Slide L (x20).

Step 10

Attach the drawer front (11) to the drawer sides (12 and 13). Use screws (A) for this connection. The diagram shows two drawer fronts (11) being attached to pairs of drawer sides.

Parts used: Part 11 (x2), Part 12, Part 13, Screw A (x8).

Step 11

Attach drawer slides (E) and screws (F) to the outer sides of the drawer sides (12 and 13). The diagram shows the attachment of slides (E) and screws (F) to the drawer side panels.

Parts used: Part 12, Part 13, Drawer Slide E (x2), Screw F (x4).

Step 12

Assemble the drawer box by connecting the drawer front (11) and drawer back (14) to the drawer sides (12 and 13). Use screws (B) and (C) for this assembly. The diagram shows two drawer boxes being formed.

Parts used: Part 11, Part 12, Part 13, Part 14, Screw B (x8), Screw C (x4).

Step 13

Slide the drawer bottom (15) into the grooves of the assembled drawer box. The diagram shows the drawer bottom being inserted into the drawer frame.

Parts used: Part 11, Part 12, Part 13, Part 14, Part 15 (x2).

Step 14

Attach drawer slides (I) to the outer sides of the assembled drawer boxes (specifically, to the drawer sides 12 and 13). Use screws (K) for this attachment. The diagram shows the attachment points for these slides.

Parts used: Part 12, Part 13, Drawer Slide I (x4), Screw K (x8).

Step 15

Attach the assembled drawer boxes to the main cabinet structure. Use screws (M) and the drawer slides (DL, DR, part of H) to secure the drawers. The diagram shows the drawer boxes being inserted and attached to the cabinet.

Parts used: Drawer Slide H (DL) (x2), Drawer Slide H (DR) (x2), Screw M (x8).

Step 16

Final assembly check. The diagram shows the completed cabinet with all drawers installed. It also highlights the use of dowels (N) and screws (B) in various parts of the assembly.
