How to Read and Understand OBD Codes

Pairing iCar Pro BLE 4.0 to Your Device

Pairing with iOS Devices

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your iPhone/iPad.
  2. Note for iOS Users: You may not see the device name "Vgate" in your iPhone's Bluetooth settings. This is normal due to Bluetooth LE 4.0 technology not being fully supported in iOS's Bluetooth profiles. Simply enable Bluetooth and proceed to the app settings.   3. Open the OBD Auto Doctor app.
  4. Tap 'Extras' on the Status page.
  5. Tap 'Connectivity' in the settings menu.
  6. Select 'Bluetooth' as the adapter type.
  7. Select 'Vgate' as the device.
  8. Return to the Status page and tap 'Start connect'.
  9. The adapter will initialize and connect to the vehicle. The BLUE Bluetooth indicator LED and GREEN OBD data indicator LED will blink during connection, which typically takes about 30 seconds.
  10. Once connected, all LED indicators will be lit.

Pairing with Android Devices

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your Android Phone or Tablet. Ensure visibility is enabled.
  2. Select the device name "Android-Vlink" to pair. Enter the password "1234".
  3. Once paired, open the OBD Auto Doctor app.
  4. Tap 'Extras' on the Status page.
  5. Tap 'Connectivity' in the settings menu.
  6. Select 'Bluetooth' as the adapter type.
  7. Search for Bluetooth devices.
  8. Select "Android-Vlink".
  9. Return to the Status page and tap 'Start connect'.
  10. The adapter will initialize and connect to the vehicle. The BLUE Bluetooth indicator LED and GREEN OBD data indicator LED will blink during connection, which typically takes about 30 seconds.
  11. Once connected, all LED indicators will be lit.

Note: Bluetooth settings may vary slightly between different OBDII apps. Always follow the specific instructions within your chosen app.

Super Power Saving

The iCar Pro series features a super power-saving mode with low power consumption, down to "2.7mA" in sleep mode. It automatically wakes up when the vehicle ignition is turned to the 'Key On, Engine Off' (KOEO) position, allowing for quick diagnostic operations.
