Vgate vLinker MC+ Quick Start Guide

for iOS and Android

1. How do I know whether my vehicle is OBDII compliant?

A vehicle is OBDII compliant if it is a 1996 or newer model year vehicle sold in the United States. United States legislation requires all cars and light trucks model year (MY) 1996 and newer to be OBD2 compliant.

For vehicles sold in the European Union, it is 2001 or newer model year gasoline vehicle, and 2004 or newer model year diesel vehicle.

Look for a sticker on the dashboard or under the hood, often labeled "VEHICLE EMISSION CONTROL INFORMATION" with "OBD II CERTIFIED" or similar text.

2. What OBDII protocols does vLinker MC+ support?

3. Download & install APP.
