User Manual and Warranty Information

1 Year Limited Warranty

Zempire® Camping Equipment offers a 1-year limited warranty on this product, covering repair or replacement at their discretion for faults in materials or manufacture from the date of purchase.

Conditions of Guarantee:

  • Applies only to the original purchaser of the product in unopened condition from an approved retail outlet.
  • Not applicable for commercial use (e.g., rental, continuous use) or anything other than reasonable personal use.
  • Excludes damage from normal wear and tear, accident, acts of God, negligence (unless by Zempire®), failure to follow setup/care instructions, deterioration from abnormal UV exposure, wind, insects, animals, mold/mildew, or other causes beyond Zempire®'s control.
  • For warranty claims, the product must be returned clean, dry, and with proof of purchase to the original place of purchase within the warranty period.
  • Transport costs and other indirect costs are excluded.
  • Zempire® Camping Equipment may charge for repairs not covered by the guarantee.
  • The guarantee does not limit statutory rights where doing so would contravene the law or invalidate the guarantee. Zempire® limits its liability, where permitted by law, to repairing or replacing the goods, or paying for repair/replacement.

Regional Consumer Rights:

  • Australia: Guarantees under Australian Consumer Law apply, entitling users to replacement/refund for major failures and compensation for foreseeable loss or damage.
  • USA: Some states may not allow limitations on incidental/consequential damages. This warranty provides specific legal rights that may vary by state.
  • Europe: Consumer legal rights under national legislation governing the sale of consumer goods are unaffected by this guarantee.

Product Components

The Zempire Megadome 1000 Rechargeable Lantern includes the following components:

  • 1. ON/OFF Switch & Lumen Setting: A single control for power and light intensity adjustment.
  • 2. Charging Port: A port for connecting the charging cable.
  • 3. Charging Port Cover: A protective cover for the charging port.
  • 4. LED Charge Indicators: Lights that display the current battery charge level.
  • 5. Bamboo Base: A decorative and stable base made of bamboo.
  • 6. USB-C Type Charging Cable: The cable provided for charging the lantern.

Important Warnings

  • The batteries are non-removable and non-replaceable.
  • Do not use damaged power cords to avoid electric shock; discard damaged cords.
  • Store the appliance in a dry location.
  • Use only the provided power supply unit.
  • The battery must be removed from the appliance before scrapping.
  • Disconnect from supply mains before removing the battery.
  • This appliance contains a non-replaceable battery that must be disposed of safely.
  • Recharge the battery using only the detachable supply unit provided.
  • Recommended charging temperature range: 0°C to 32°C (32°F to 89°F).

Charging Instructions

It is essential to fully charge the Megadome 1000 lantern before its first use.

  1. Open the charging port cover (3).
  2. Insert the USB-C plug of the charging cable (6) into the charging port (2), ensuring correct alignment.
  3. Connect the USB charger cable to an approved USB charger device with a minimum output of 5 Volts - 2 amp.
  4. During charging, the LED charge indicators (4) will flash green to show the charge level. Solid green indicates a full charge.
  5. Charging typically takes approximately 6-7 hours.
  6. Charging must be performed indoors only to prevent electric shock hazards. Avoid placing the lantern where it could fall into water or liquids.

Operation

To operate the Megadome 1000 lantern:

  • Press the ON/OFF switch (1) to cycle through different light settings until the desired intensity is reached.
  • The LED charge indicators (4) will briefly illuminate to show the current charge level (for approximately 8 seconds) as you cycle through settings.

Power Bank Functionality

The Megadome 1000 can also function as an external power supply:

  • Connect the USB cable from the device to be charged into the lantern's charging port (2), ensuring correct alignment.
  • During charging, the LED charge indicators (4) on the lantern will show its current charge level.

General Care and Maintenance

  • Always charge the lantern regularly, even when not in use, to maintain battery health and longevity. Lithium-ion batteries should be stored at least 40% capacity to prevent deep discharge and sleep mode activation. Charging is recommended at least every two months.
  • Store the lantern in a cool, dry environment.
  • The lantern has IPX4 weather protection, offering resistance to splashing water. It is not waterproof; do not immerse it in water or leave it exposed to harsh weather conditions.
  • Keep the lantern clean and dry. Clean with a soft cloth and dry immediately. Avoid excessive water and do not use harsh cleaning agents or applicators.
