Important Information
When expecting freezing temperatures, remove the timer from the hose faucet and store indoors to avoid potential freeze damage.
The filter traps dirt particles, prolonging the life of the timer. Clean the filter regularly and replace it if worn.
Timer Features
- Filter: Traps dirt particles.
- Faucet Connection: Connects to the hose faucet.
- Low Battery Indicator: Alerts when batteries are low.
- DIAL: Navigate up or down and push to make a selection.
- SET CLOCK: Set the time of day.
- START TIME: Select the desired time to start watering.
- HOW LONG: Determine watering duration from 1 to 360 minutes.
- HOW OFTEN: Choose watering frequency (every 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, or from 1 to 7 days).
- AUTO/MANUAL: Waters according to schedule. Press once to water manually. Press and hold to set a rain delay.
- OFF: Turns off all watering.
Installing the Batteries
- Remove the battery tray on the back of the timer by sliding or pulling it out.
- Insert two AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included) and replace the tray.
Note: Firmly replace the battery tray to ensure water resistance and increase battery life. You will know the battery tray is fully inserted if it does not pull out easily. Used up or dead batteries must be removed from the timer and disposed of properly. Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears on the display. Do not dispose of batteries in fire, as they may explode or leak. Remove batteries when storing the timer.
Programming the Timer
Set Clock
- Turn the dial so the arrow points to SET CLOCK.
- Press the dial to select; the hour will begin to flash.
- Turn the dial until the current hour is displayed, then press to confirm. The minutes will begin to flash.
- Turn the dial until the current minutes are displayed, then press to confirm. The time of day (AM/PM) will begin to flash.
- Turn the dial to select AM or PM, then press to confirm.
Start Time
- Turn the dial so the arrow points to START TIME.
- Press the dial to select; the hour will begin to flash.
- Turn the dial until the desired start time hour is displayed, then press to confirm. The minutes will begin to flash.
- Turn the dial until the desired minutes is displayed, then press to confirm. The time of day (AM/PM) will begin to flash.
- Turn the dial to select AM or PM, then press to confirm.
How Long
- Turn the dial so the arrow points to HOW LONG.
- Press the dial to select; the minutes will begin to flash.
- Turn the dial until the desired number of minutes is displayed, then press to confirm.
Note: Determine how long to water from 1 to 360 minutes.
How Often
- Turn the dial so the arrow points to HOW OFTEN.
- Press the dial to select; the days will begin to flash.
- Turn the dial until the desired number of hours or days is displayed, then press to confirm. You may choose to water every 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, or from 1 to 7 days.
Note: '1' is every day, '2' is every other day, etc.
Additional Features
Rain Delay
Rain delay allows you to postpone watering for a set period of time. To access the rain delay, follow these steps:
- With the arrow pointing to AUTO/MANUAL, press and hold the dial for 3 seconds.
- The rain delay symbol [droplet with slash] will appear, and the number of days will begin to flash.
- Turn the dial until the desired number of days is displayed, then press to confirm.
Note: You may select a delay of 1 to 7 days. The screen will flash between the clock and the remaining time before the programmed cycle resumes. To remove rain delay, turn the dial to OFF and then back to AUTO/MANUAL to resume your programmed watering schedule.
Manual/Hand Watering
This feature allows you to water without interrupting your set schedule. To access this feature, follow these steps:
- With the arrow pointing to AUTO/MANUAL, press the dial to select.
- "MANUAL" will appear, and the minutes will begin to flash.
- Turn the dial until the desired number of minutes is displayed, then press to confirm.
Note: Determine how long to water from 1 to 360 minutes. The manual icon [hand watering symbol] will appear, and the screen will flash between the clock and the time remaining before the programmed cycle resumes. There may be a slight delay between the time the dial is pressed and when watering begins. To stop manual watering, turn the dial to OFF and then back to AUTO/MANUAL to resume your programmed watering schedule.
Congratulations!
Your timer is now programmed. Turn your dial to AUTO to allow your timer to water according to the programmed time and frequency. The screen will flash between the clock and the next start time.
Troubleshooting
Water does not come on at desired time.
Check if:
- Clock is set to the correct time, including AM and PM.
- Dial is set to "AUTO/MANUAL".
- Start time is set to the desired time, including AM and PM.
- Rain Delay is on.
Timer does not water.
Check if:
- Timer is set to AUTO/MANUAL.
- Hose faucet is on.
- Batteries are low.
- Clock is set to the correct time, including AM and PM.
- Rain Delay is on.
Water won't turn off.
Check if:
- HOW LONG is set to the desired time.
- HOW OFTEN is set to the desired interval hour or day.
Working water pressure:
- Minimum: 10 psi
- Maximum: 100 psi
Working temperature:
- Maximum: Do not exceed 120°F (49°C)
- Minimum: Keep from freezing
