Orbit 1 Dial 4 Outlet Hose Faucet Timer
Important: Please read these instructions carefully.
Important Precautions
Freeze Protection: Remove the timer from the hose faucet and store indoors during freezing temperatures to prevent damage.
Filter Maintenance: The internal filter traps dirt particles to prolong timer life. Clean the filter regularly and replace if worn.
Operation Warning: The timer manifold will not water if the timer unit is detached. WARNING: Never remove the timer unit while it is actively watering. Always turn the dial to OFF before detaching.
Timer Features
This hose faucet timer offers a range of convenient features:
- Hose Tap Connection: Standard connection for outdoor faucets.
- Filter: Protects internal components from debris.
- Low Battery Indicator: ? Notifies you when batteries need replacement.
- Central Dial: Navigate through programming modes: OFF, AUTO, SET CLOCK, START TIME, HOW LONG, HOW OFTEN.
- +/- Buttons: Adjust time, duration, and other settings.
- ARROW Button: Moves the cursor on the display during programming.
- RAIN DELAY Button: Temporarily suspends watering cycles (1-7 days).
- STATION Button: Cycles through the 4 watering stations/outlets.
- MANUAL/CLEAR Button: Initiates immediate watering or clears programmed data.
- 4 Outlets (Stations 1-4): Allows connection of multiple hoses or sprinklers.
- Mounting Support: Includes a 7-inch support rod and a #14 round head screw for secure installation.
Installation and Programming
Mounting the Manifold
- Attach the support rod to the manifold's rear mounting holes.
- Position the manifold and mark the wall where the rod touches.
- Drill a pilot hole (approx. 1¼-inch diameter).
- Secure the support rod to the wall with the provided screw.
Installing Batteries
- Detach the timer unit from the manifold.
- Slide or pull out the battery tray located on the back of the timer.
- Insert two AAA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included).
- Firmly replace the battery tray to ensure water resistance and proper function. The tray is fully seated when it resists easy removal.
Battery Care: Replace batteries when the ? indicator appears. Dispose of used batteries properly and avoid fire exposure.
Programming the Timer
1. Set Clock and Day
- Turn the dial to SET CLOCK.
- Use +/- buttons to set the current time (AM/PM). Hold buttons for faster adjustment.
- Press ARROW to move to the day selection.
- Use +/- buttons to select the current day of the week.
- Press ARROW to return to time display, then turn the dial to save.
2. Set Start Times
Program up to three watering start times (A, B, C).
- Turn the dial to START TIME.
- Use ARROW to cycle through start times A, B, C.
- Use +/- buttons to set the desired start time (AM/PM). A box highlights the selected start time.
- Press CLEAR to remove a start time.
- Press STATION to cycle through outlets 1-4.
- Use +/- buttons to enable/disable watering for each station at this start time. (Note: All stations are ON by default; press '-' to turn OFF a station).
- Repeat for additional start times.
- Turn the dial to save.
Note: A single start time is sufficient for basic operation.
3. Set Watering Duration (How Long)
- Turn the dial to HOW LONG.
- Press STATION to select the outlet (1-4).
- Use +/- buttons to set watering duration (1-360 minutes).
- Press CLEAR to reset duration for the selected station.
- Turn the dial to save.
4. Set Watering Frequency (How Often)
- Turn the dial to HOW OFTEN.
- Use ARROW to select the start time (A, B, or C) to program.
- Use +/- buttons to select watering frequency mode: "Days of the Week" or "Interval".
- Days of the Week: Navigate to desired days using ARROW and toggle ON/OFF with +/- buttons.
- Interval: Navigate to INT. Use +/- buttons to select interval: 1, 2, 4, 6, 12 hours, or 1-7 days.
- Repeat for other start times.
- Turn the dial to save.
Note: Interval watering greater than 1 day begins within 24 hours of setting the dial to AUTO.
Confirmation: Your timer is now programmed. Set the dial to AUTO to activate your watering schedule.
Additional Features
Rain Delay
Temporarily suspend watering for up to 7 days:
- With the dial set to AUTO, press the RAIN DELAY button.
- Use +/- buttons to select the delay duration (1-7 days).
- The display will show remaining delay time.
- To cancel, turn the dial to OFF then back to AUTO.
Manual Watering
Water manually without disrupting your programmed schedule:
- All Stations: With the dial on AUTO, press the MANUAL button. "ALL" will display, and watering will commence for all programmed stations.
- Specific Stations/Duration: With the dial on AUTO, press MANUAL. Press STATION to select an outlet (1-4). Use +/- buttons to set duration (1-360 minutes). Press CLEAR to reset duration.
Note: A brief delay may occur before manual watering starts.
The display shows remaining manual watering time. To stop manual watering, turn the dial to OFF. Return to AUTO to resume the programmed schedule.
Detachable Timer
Easily program the timer away from the faucet:
- Turn the dial to OFF.
- Lift the timer unit straight up from the manifold.
- Program as instructed.
- Turn the dial to OFF.
- Firmly reattach the timer to the manifold.
- Set the dial to AUTO to resume watering.
WARNING: Ensure the dial is OFF before detaching the timer, especially if watering is active.

Watering Not Starting on Time
- Is the timer attached to the manifold?

No Water Flow
- Is the timer attached to the manifold?

Water Not Turning Off

- Is the "HOW LONG" duration set correctly?
