Optiflow+ Tracheostomy Interface

This guide provides instructions for fitting the F&P Optiflow+ Tracheostomy Interface.

Fitting Steps

Step 1: Securing the Lanyard

To ensure loading and movement on the tracheostomy tube is kept to a minimum, make sure the lanyard is secured properly.

Diagram 1a: Lanyard position as shown in 1a is not suitable for patients with damaged skin.

Step 2: Connecting to Humidification System

Connect to the humidification system. Make sure all connections are secure.

Connection to F&P AIRVO and F&P 850 System.

Diagram 2: If using an MR850, attach the tubing clip to the breathing circuit but ensure probe cable is not crushed by tubing clip.

[OK symbol] indicates a secure connection.

Step 3: Orientating the Sputum Guard

Orientate the sputum guard so that sputum drains downwards. The sputum guard can be removed if required.
