Installation Guide (Continued)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Failure to follow installation steps could result in damage. Position the bottom of the headboard cross member no more than 3 inches (76.2 mm) between the headboard and the top of the mattress.

This model does not include a headboard bracket kit. It can be purchased separately from your authorized retailer.

STEP 11. Attaching the "Quick-Slide" Mattress Retainer Bracket

Fasten the "Quick-Slide" mattress retainer bracket (B) to the foot of the bed base using the illustrated "Quick-Slide" method. No tools or screws are required. Position the open ends of the bracket aligned with the "Loop" Retainer Anchors on the base surface. Slide the bracket forward, allowing the open ends to glide into the loop.

If a Headboard Is To Be Installed, Proceed to Step 12 or Step 13.

STEP 12. Assemble The Headboard Bracket for Sizes Twin, Twin XL, Full, Full XL, Queen, Split Queen & Split CA King

  1. Use the hand control to elevate the head of the bed to access the frame.
  2. Slide the inner headboard bracket (D) into the C-channel frame, ensuring the bracket opening and C-channel opening face each other to create a box shape. Insert a retainer bolt (G) with a 5/16 inch washer (I) through a predrilled hole in the C-channel frame and the inner headboard bracket. Tighten with a 5/16 inch washer (I) and 5/16 inch nut (J). Repeat on the other side.
  3. Place the open side of the outer headboard bracket (E) onto the exposed square tube of the inner headboard bracket (D) for a tight fit. Insert a retainer bolt (G) with a 5/16 inch washer (I) into the outer headboard bracket (E) and through the inner headboard bracket (D). Hand tighten with a 5/16 inch washer (I) and a 5/16 inch nut (J). Leave loose enough for adjusting. Repeat on the other side.
  4. Ensure there is a space of 1.5 (38.1 mm) to 2 inches (50.8 mm) between the edge of the bed base and the headboard brackets.
  5. Securely fasten the headboard bolts (not included) to the end of the headboard bracket assembly.
  6. Measure the distance from the center of one mounting hole in the headboard to the center of the other.
  7. Measure the distance from the center of one mounting hole in the headboard bracket assembly to the center of the other.
  8. If adjustment is needed, unscrew the bolts holding the outer headboard brackets, move them as necessary, and securely tighten.

Velcro Leg Straps* (Optional: To avoid Base Separation)

To help prevent separation when using King Size (2 TXL), California King Size (2 SCK), or Split Queen Size (2 SQ) beds, use the enclosed Velcro Straps. Simply wrap the legs together (front & back) tightly. Fastening the straps helps prevent movement and maintain stability.

Installation Guide (Continued)

STEP 13. Assemble The Headboard Bracket for Sizes California King & King.

  1. Use the hand control to elevate the head of the bed to access the frame.
  2. Slide the inner headboard bracket (A3) horizontally with the "C" opening facing down under the Crossbar. Position Bracket (A3) in the guide peg on the bottom of the Crossbar. Insert a headboard bolt (A5) with a 5/16 inch washer (A8) through the pre-drilled hole in the Crossbar and into the pre-drilled slotted hole in the "C" channel Inner Headboard Bracket. Tighten with a 5/16 inch washer (A8) and 5/16 inch nut (A9). Repeat on the other side.
  3. Place the open side of the outer headboard bracket (A4) onto the exposed square tube of the inner headboard bracket (A3) for a tight fit. Hand tighten with a 5/16 inch washer (A8) and a 5/16 inch nut (A9).

Pairing Guide to Synchronize Two Beds

Your adjustable base is pre-programmed to your remote. To operate two adjustable bases together, you must pair both to one remote. Ensure your first adjustable base (Base A) is plugged in before focusing on your second adjustable base (Base B).

Steps to complete pairing:

  1. Plug in Base B to an AC power outlet (surge protector recommended). The LED light on the control box will blink three times, indicating it has entered Learning Mode. Learning Mode lasts seven seconds.
  2. During Learning Mode, use Remote A to press the "Head Up" and "Foot Up" keys together for three seconds.
  3. The LED light on the control box will light up and remain on, indicating successful pairing.

Now Base A & B will function with Remote A, and the pairing of the two adjustable bases is complete.

To Reset Your Pre-Programmed Remote:

  1. Unplug the AC power.
  2. Press and hold the FLAT button (without release) to continue sending a signal.
  3. Plug in the AC power and wait for 7 seconds, then release the FLAT button. (The control box must receive the FLAT signal from the remote for at least 5 seconds after the AC power is plugged back in).
  4. The reset is complete.

Troubleshooting

In the event the adjustable bed fails to operate, investigate the symptoms and possible solutions:

SymptomSolution
Hand Remote LED illuminates and appears Normal, but will not operate bed.
  1. Is the power cord plugged into a working & grounded electrical outlet? ⚠️ NOTE: A grounded, electrical surge protection device is recommended (not supplied).
  2. Test outlet by plugging in an appliance you know works properly.
None of the Functions on the Adjustable Bed will Operate.
  1. Unplug the power cord. After 45 seconds, plug it back into the electrical outlet. This should reset the electronic components.
  2. The Home Electrical circuit breaker may have been tripped. Reset the circuit breaker if needed.
  3. Check the surge protection device or electrical outlet to ensure it is working properly. Test the outlet by plugging in a known working appliance.
Head or foot section Function Key will elevate bed, but will not return to the horizontal (Flat) position.
  1. Your Bed may be obstructed, preventing smooth operation. Remove obstructions from around and under the bed.
  2. Check that the Head section has clearance from the headboard or wall.
  3. The headboard may be too close to the edge of the mattress. Verify a 1.5" (38.1mm) to 2" (50.8mm) distance between headboard brackets and mattress. Adjust if required.
