Ice-Watch Solar Power Watch User Manual and Instructions
Comprehensive guide for Ice-Watch solar-powered watches, covering getting started, time setting, solar charging, maintenance, and water resistance.
Getting Started
To begin using your Ice-Watch, remove the plastic stopper. This stopper is typically located near the winder and should be pulled out in the direction indicated by an arrow.
After removing the stopper, press the winder back into its normal position.
General Instructions
For optimal performance, your Ice-Watch requires regular servicing. The frequency of servicing may vary based on the watch model, environmental conditions, and how the watch is cared for.
To maintain your watch in excellent condition, follow these general recommendations:
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the watch to temperatures below 0°C (30°F) or above 35°C (100°F).
- Exposure: Prevent prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, steam, alcohol, detergents, perfumes, or cosmetic products. These can cause distortion, discoloration, or other damage.
- Water Usage: Do not operate any watch buttons while the watch is submerged in water to prevent water ingress into the mechanism.
- Water Resistance: The watch is designed for use within its 5 ATM water-resistant standard.
The information in this document is proprietary to ICE Universal Ltd and reproduction requires their authorization.
Setting the Time
To set the time on your Ice-Watch:
- Gently pull the winder out to the 1st position.
- Turn the winder to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct positions.
- Once set, push the winder back into its normal position. The second hand will resume its movement.
Diagram Description: A watch face is shown with labels pointing to the minute hand, hour hand, and second hand. The winder is depicted in its normal position and pulled out to the 1st position.
Solar Power
This Ice-Watch utilizes solar power for its energy needs. The charging process is illustrated by a depleted battery symbol plus a sun symbol, resulting in a fully charged battery symbol.
The table below outlines the charging times required under different environmental conditions:
Environment | Charging time to work for one day | Charging time if the battery is empty |
---|---|---|
Under direct sunlight | 9 to 35 minutes | 18 hours |
20cm under fluorescent lamp | 90 minutes | 70 hours |
Interior lighting | 330 minutes | 110 hours |
Low Battery Indicator
If the watch's power reserve becomes low, the second hand will move in two-second intervals. To recharge the watch, expose the dial to a light source.
Once the watch has been sufficiently charged, the second hand will return to its normal, continuous movement.
