Ice-Watch Solar Power Watch: Instructions and Maintenance
Getting Started
To begin using your watch, remove the plastic block by pulling it in the direction of the arrow ➡️. After removing the block, press the charging button.
General Instructions and Care
Your Ice-Watch requires regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance. The required intervals for maintenance can vary based on the watch model, local climate, and how the owner cares for the watch. As a general guideline, we recommend following the procedures below to keep your watch in the best possible condition for the longest time.
Care Guidelines:
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the watch to temperatures below 0°C or above 35°C.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and steam. Also, prevent contact with alcohol, detergents, perfumes, or cosmetic products, as these can cause distortion, discoloration, or other damage.
- Do not operate the watch buttons while submerged underwater to prevent water from entering the internal mechanism.
- Ensure usage respects the 5 ATM water resistance standard. [? 5 ATM]

Setting the Time
Diagram Description: The watch face is illustrated, showing the minute hand, hour hand, and second hand. The crown, also referred to as the charging button, is shown in its normal position and in the first position (pulled out). Labels identify the hands: "Lancetta dei minuti" (Minute hand), "Lancetta delle ore" (Hour hand), and "Lancetta dei secondi" (Second hand). The crown's positions are marked as "Posizione normale del pulsante di ricarica" (Normal position of the charging button) and "1a posizione" (1st position).
- Gently pull the crown out to the first position.
- Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
- Once the time is set, push the crown back into its normal position. The second hand will then resume its movement.
Solar Power and Charging
Diagram Description: A visual equation demonstrates the solar charging principle: a battery icon indicating low power, plus a sun icon emitting rays, equals a battery icon showing a full charge. This signifies that light energy is used to recharge the watch's battery.
Charging Times:
Environment | Charging Time for One Day's Operation | Charging Time if Battery is Depleted |
---|---|---|
Under direct sunlight ☀️ | 9 to 35 minutes | 18 hours |
20 cm under a fluorescent lamp | 90 minutes | 70 hours |
Indoor lighting | 330 minutes | 110 hours |
Battery Status Indicator
What happens if the battery is about to run out?
When the watch's power reserve is low, you will notice that the second hand moves in two-second intervals instead of continuously. To recharge the watch, simply expose its dial to a light source. Once the watch has accumulated sufficient charge, the second hand will return to its normal, continuous movement.
