Product Introduction
The Aqara Motion Sensor detects human movement using passive infrared technology. It integrates with other smart accessories to create automated scenes, such as turning lights on or off based on detected activity or inactivity. The sensor consumes low energy and requires no tools for installation, allowing for flexible placement.

Quick Setup & Installation
To set up the Aqara Motion Sensor:
- Add the Aqara Hub to your app following the Hub's Quick Start Guide.
- Remove the battery insulation tab before use.
- Open the app, navigate to "Home", tap "+", and select "Add Device (Accessory)". Choose "Motion Sensor" and follow the on-screen instructions.
Installation Notes:
- For optimal performance, avoid placing the sensor near metal surfaces to maximize signal strength.
- Test the effective range by single-pressing the reset button; the Hub's voice prompts will confirm communication.
- Installation height is recommended between 1.2m and 2.1m for optimal detection area.
Installation Options:
- Place the sensor directly in the desired location.
- Stick the sensor using the included adhesive after removing the protective film.
- Attach the sensor to the provided stand, then affix the stand to the desired surface.
