Aqara Hub Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information for setting up and using your Aqara Hub, a smart bridge designed to enhance your HomeKit-enabled smart home experience.
Accessory Introduction
The Aqara Hub is a HomeKit-enabled smart bridge. It allows your iOS devices to control various smart home accessories, including:
- Wall switches
- RGB night lights
- Monitor temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure
- Sense human movement
- Detect water leaks
Button Functions:
- Single Press: Turn the night light on/off.
- Triple Press: Add bridge accessories.
- Long Press: Press and hold for 10 seconds to reset the Hub.

Quick Setup
Follow these steps to get your Aqara Hub connected:
1. Download the App
Download the "Aqara Home" app from the App Store or scan the provided QR code to install it on your iOS device.

2. Add Hub
- Plug the Hub into a power outlet. Wait approximately 30 seconds until the yellow indicator light blinks rapidly.
- Ensure your iPhone or iPad (running iOS 10.3 or later) is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. If you have a dual-band router, temporarily disable the 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Keep your phone close to the Hub and confirm both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the Aqara Home app. Navigate to the "Accessories" page and tap the '+' icon in the top right corner.
- Select "Aqara Hub" and follow the on-screen instructions to scan or manually enter the HomeKit code found on the Hub or its packaging. Add the Hub to a Home or Room. Keep the HomeKit code in a safe place for future reference.
- If the connection fails, press and hold the button on the Hub for 10 seconds until the yellow light blinks rapidly to attempt reconnection.
3. Add Bridge Accessories
Once the Hub is connected, open the Aqara Home app, go to the "Accessories" page, tap '+' and select the accessory you wish to add. Follow the instructions provided for each accessory. Refer to the specific accessory's quick start guide for more details.
Installation
- To ensure optimal transmission, avoid placing the Hub too close to your router. A recommended distance is between 2 to 6 meters (approximately 6.5 to 20 feet).
- Depending on your local environment and the presence of obstacles like walls, the indoor transmission range between the Hub and connected accessories can reach up to 30 meters (approximately 100 feet).

Notes and Compatibility
- For automatic and remote control of HomeKit-enabled accessories when away from home, you need an Apple TV (4th generation with tvOS 10.2 or later) or an iPad (iOS 10.3 or later) set up as a home hub.
- Communication between your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and the HomeKit-enabled Aqara Hub is secured by HomeKit technology.
- Communication between the Aqara Hub and its accessories is secured by the Zigbee protocol, which is customized and encrypted by Aqara. Compatible accessories include: Wireless Mini Switch, Wireless Remote Switch (Single/Double Rocker), Wall Switch (with/without Neutral, Single/Double Rocker), Door and Window Sensor, Motion Sensor, Temperature and Humidity Sensor, Vibration Sensor, and Water Leak Sensor.
- The "Works with Apple HomeKit" logo indicates that an electronic accessory is specifically designed to connect to iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad and has been certified by the developer to meet Apple performance standards. Apple is not responsible for the operation or compliance with safety and regulatory standards of this device.
