Technical Specifications
Operating Temperature: Maximum 60°C (140°F).
Operating Pressure:
- 0.5 - 5 bar (0.05 - 0.5 MPa, 7.2 - 72.5 psi)
- 0.2 - 10 bar (0.02 - 1 MPa, 2.9 - 145 psi)
Installation Steps
- Prepare the Spout: Rotate the spout 90 degrees.
- Install Aerator: Insert the aerator/flow guide into the tap spout.
- Mount the Tap: Position the tap in the sink or worktop. The required hole diameter is 34-37 mm (1 3/8 - 1 1/2 inches). The maximum worktop thickness is 55 mm (2 3/16 inches). Secure the tap from underneath using the provided mounting bracket and fasteners.
- Connect Hoses: Connect the flexible hoses to the water supply inlets. Ensure a secure connection, which will typically be indicated by an audible 'click' sound.
- Attach Hose Weight: Attach the provided weight to the pull-out hose to ensure smooth retraction.
- Final Tightening: Tighten all connections securely. IMPORTANT: Do not overtighten, as this can damage hoses, pipes, and washers.
Pre-Use and Maintenance
Before First Use: Unscrew the Aerator/Flow Guide using a coin. Allow water to run freely for a few minutes to flush the system. Re-tighten the Aerator/Flow Guide up to the stop; do not overtighten.
Leak Check: Check at regular intervals to ensure the installation is not leaking.
UK Water Regulations Compliance
To comply with UK water regulations, this product must be installed according to the following guidelines:
- Inlet supply hoses shall be installed where light is excluded.
- Water supplies shall be at reasonably balanced pressures from a common source (e.g., both hot and cold supplies from the same storage tank or both from a supply pipe).
- Where the fitting is supplied from unbalanced supplies (e.g., hot and cold supplies from separate sources), an 'Approved' single check valve or another effective backflow prevention device must be fitted immediately upstream of both hot and cold water inlets.
Pull-out Taps Warning (UK): This type of tap may not maintain an appropriate tap gap, as part of the tap assembly (the hose attachment) can fall below the spill-over level of the sink. Therefore, it must not be directly connected to the drinking water supply without the protection of an appropriate backflow arrangement, as agreed by your local water supplier. If the tap assembly is required to be fed from storage, this tap may require a water pressure higher than that provided by a normal storage gravity-fed system (e.g., typical gravity-fed system - 0.5 bar). If boosting/pumping of the system is required, advance notification to the local water supplier may be necessary. The tap assembly must only be supplied via a wholesome source of water (hot and cold supplies). It is important to ensure that this tap is connected in accordance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations (Byelaws in Scotland).
