Wi-Fi Smoke Detector
Note: Please read carefully before use and keep for future reference.
Introduction
This product is a smart photoelectric smoke sensor featuring an ultra-low-power MCU design. It functions as an early warning device, capable of real-time smoke detection. It cannot detect gas, heat, or fire, nor can it stop or extinguish fires. Upon detecting a fire smoke hazard, the red LED will illuminate, and an alarm will sound to alert you and your family promptly. It is suitable for use in households, lounges, coffee houses, dancing halls, and other locations requiring fire alarm monitoring.

Mounting Instructions
Flat Ceiling Mounting
The preferred location for installing the smoke sensor is the center of the ceiling, as smoke, heat, and combustible products rise to the ceiling and spread laterally. Maintain a distance of at least 30cm from lights or decorations, and at least 15cm from walls and corners.
Diagram Description: Illustrates flat ceiling mounting, showing the smoke detector centered on the ceiling with recommended clearances: at least 30cm from lights/decorations and 15cm from walls/corners.
Sloping Ceiling Mounting
If the ceiling is sloping, install the smoke sensor at a horizontal distance of 90cm from the ceiling's apex. Avoid dead air areas.
Diagram Description: Illustrates sloping ceiling mounting, indicating the smoke sensor should be placed at a horizontal distance of 90cm from the ceiling apex, avoiding dead air zones. It also shows the recommended mounting position on a sloping ceiling.
How to Use
- Prepare for Battery Installation: Rotate the mounting bracket clockwise to detach it and prepare for battery installation.
- Install Battery: Insert 2 AAA batteries. The LED indicator will turn ON and then OFF.
- Download App: Download the "TuyaSmart" App by scanning the provided QR code or searching in the iOS/Android app stores.

- Manual Network Configuration: Press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds with a PIN when configuring the network. The indicator will flash slowly, entering manual network configuration mode. Enter your WiFi account and password to add the device.
Diagram Description: Shows the app interface in "AP Mode" for network configuration, with instructions to connect the phone's Wi-Fi to the device's hotspot.
- Test Functionality: After successful network configuration, tap the smoke detector in the app. Long-press the TEST button. The buzzer should emit a "Di-Di-Di" sound, and the app will display "Detecting smoke". Release the TEST button; the app should show "No Smoke Detected".
Diagram Description: Displays the app's "Alarm Alert" screen, showing notifications like "Smoke: Smoke has been detected" and historical logs.
- Mute Function: Ensure there is no real fire danger before using the mute function. In known non-fire alarm conditions, do not block or otherwise prevent alarming. Press the TEST/MUTE button to temporarily lower sensitivity and silence the alarm. For testing, burn cotton to produce smoke and direct it towards the detector. When the detector alarms with "Di-Di-Di" sounds, press TEST/MUTE to stop it. Do not use an open flame for testing.

Troubleshooting
If the smoke detector is not working correctly, please check the following:
- Ensure the battery is not depleted; replace it if necessary.
- Clean the smoke detector regularly.
- Verify that the mounting bracket is installed correctly.
- If the smoke alarm (TEST) does not trigger a notification, confirm that the installation location is within 10 meters of the WiFi router.
