Wi-Fi Smoke Detector YG400A User Manual
Introduction
This product is a smart photoelectric smoke sensor with an ultra-low-power MCU design. It functions as an early warning device and cannot detect gas, heat, or fire, nor can it stop or extinguish fires. It is capable of real-time smoke detection. Upon detecting the danger of smoke, the red LED illuminates, and an alarm sounds to alert you and your family promptly. It is suitable for household use, lounges, coffee houses, dancing halls, and other locations requiring fire alarm monitoring.

Installation
Flat Ceiling Mounting
The preferred location for installing the smoke sensor is the center of the ceiling, as smoke, heat, and combustible products rise and spread laterally. Maintain a distance of at least 30cm from lights or decorations, and at least 15cm from walls and corners.

Sloping Ceiling Mounting
If the ceiling is sloping, install the smoke sensor at a horizontal distance of 90cm from the ceiling's highest point.

How to Use
- Prepare for Battery Installation: Clockwise rotate the mounting bracket to detach it, then prepare to install the battery.
- Install Battery: Insert 2 AAA batteries. The LED indicator will turn ON briefly and then OFF.
- Download App: Download the "TuyaSmart" App from your mobile device's app store or scan the provided QR code. [QR Code: Link to download TuyaSmart App for iOS/Android.]
- Add Device in App: Register a Tuya Smart App account and log in. Tap the "+" icon on the "My Home" screen or the blank space to add a device. Select "Security Sensor," then find and tap "Sensor (WiFi)." [Diagrams: TuyaSmart App screens showing the process of adding a device, selecting 'Security Sensor', and then 'Sensor (WiFi)'.]
- Auto Network Configuration: Press and hold the RESET button for more than 5 seconds using a pin. The LED indicator will flash quickly, initiating automatic network configuration. Enter your WiFi password to begin the connection. [Diagram: TuyaSmart App screen indicating the device is connecting automatically.]
- Manual Network Configuration (AP Mode): When configuring the network, press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds using a pin. The indicator will flash slowly, entering manual network configuration (AP Mode). Enter your WiFi account and password to add the device. [Diagrams: TuyaSmart App screens showing 'AP Mode' settings and Wi-Fi connection options.]
- Test Functionality: Once network configuration is successful, tap the smoke detector in the app. Long-press the TEST button on the device. The buzzer will sound ("DI DI"). The app will receive a notification "Detecting smoke". Release the TEST button; the app will then show "No Smoke Detected". [Diagrams: TuyaSmart App notifications indicating "Smoke Alarm" and "No Smoke Detected".]
Mute Function
Ensure there is no real fire danger when using the mute function. In known non-fire alarm conditions, do not block or otherwise prevent the alarm. Press the Test/Mute button to temporarily lower sensitivity and silence the alarm. To test: Burn cotton to produce smoke and direct it towards the smoke detector. When the detector alarms ("DiDi"), press TEST/MUTE to stop it. Do not use an open flame for testing.
