Litesphere True RGB+W
Brand: Tivoli
Product Overview
The Tivoli Litesphere True RGB+W is a 24V DC low-voltage LED lighting system designed for superior color saturation and TRUE white performance. It utilizes Tivoli's proprietary algorithm and controls RGB+W (5000K) LEDs, offering a significant advantage over standard four-channel systems. The system supports audio enhancement with MADRIX software and offers an optional DarkSky compliant version. Each globe can be individually controlled via DMX512 (3 Channels per/pixel) for personalized environments, with fast, auto-addressing for setup. The technology delivers over 16 million color combinations. Tivoli's proprietary PCB design ensures high performance and easy replacement. The mounting design allows for optional suspended or surface applications with a twist-off cap. The system is IP67 rated, cULus listed, and comes with a 3-year warranty.

Photometrics
The document includes photometric data, specifically TM-30-15 reports, detailing color rendering (Rf) and color fidelity (Rg) across different hue bins. It also presents spectral power distribution (SPD) normalized to Y=100, and color vector/distortion graphics. The maximum candela is reported as 5.6.
Data Operation & Wiring Diagrams
The system supports both Online and Off-line operation modes, primarily using DMX512 control.
Online Operation (MADRIX Live)
This mode uses a live control performance setup, requiring a network for communication between MADRIX software and the Litesphere True RGB+W system. A typical setup involves an Artnet to DMX interface (e.g., ARTNET-L-8-512), an Ethernet switch (e.g., NTG-SWI-8PT), DMX adapters, and the ADNM-120-1-4-24-DAT unit which serves as the power supply and data box. The ADNM unit connects to 120V AC power and provides Data Out to the Litesphere system via an LST-JUMPER cable. The DMX Databox base address is always 001 and auto-addresses connected globes up to 170 globes (510 DMX channels). DMX channels 511-512 can be used for DMX relay controlled power-up.
On-line/Off-line Operation (MADRIX AURA)
This mode is programmed via MADRIX5 and recorded into AURA for stand-alone operation without network support. The diagram shows connections involving MADRIX Luna interfaces, Ethernet switches, and ADNM units.
Off-line Operation (TivoCUE or Artnet Interface)
This mode involves programming via CUE software or MADRIX5, recorded to a Micro SD card for data transfer to TivoCUE or Artnet Interface controls. It also operates as a stand-alone feature. The diagrams illustrate connections using TivoCue10/TivoCue2 or ARTNET-S-8-512 interfaces with ADNM units.
Wiring Configurations
The document details various wiring configurations:
- Single Run (Single Circuit 96W): Shows a single run of Litesphere globes connected to an ADNM-120-1-4-24-DAT unit. Includes start and end connectors, with optional mechanical end caps.
- Multiple Runs (Multi Circuit 96W): Depicts multiple runs connected to a single ADNM-320-3-4-24-DAT-3 unit, illustrating how to power multiple independent strands.
- Dual Runs (Single Circuit 96W): Shows two runs connected, where one ADNM unit powers the first run, and a second ADNM unit (ADNM-120-1-4-24-D) powers the second run, with data pass-through.
- Daisy-Chain Multiple Runs (Single Universe): Illustrates chaining multiple ADNM-120-1-4-24-DAT-D units to control multiple runs within a single DMX universe. It highlights the need for manual programming of each Data Box and factory addressing.
Each wiring diagram includes tables specifying the OC (On-Center) spacing, maximum run length, and maximum power feed length.
Mounting Options
The Litesphere system offers two primary mounting methods:
- Surface/Flush Mount: For surface applications, the top suspension plate is removed, allowing the socket to be placed flush against the desired surface and secured with screws.
- Suspended Mount: This method uses a combination of LS-Cable, LS-Locks, and LS-UVZP ties. The cable tension is adjusted using an LS-TT (Tension Tool) to achieve the desired sag, adhering to local city codes. For suspension applications, a catenary cable is required for proper installation.

Warnings and Safety Information
Risk of Injury or Fire:
- Do not cover any luminaire, as covering may cause overheating.
- Avoid installing the system where exposed bare contacts can be shorted or contact conductive material to reduce fire and burn risks.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 6 inches (15.25cm) from curtains or similar combustible materials.
- Do not use damaged luminaires (broken globes, loose connections, frayed wires). Inspect periodically.
- Do not submerge luminaires in liquid; use waterproof connectors for outdoor applications.
- Secure luminaires using screws through the base, not staples or nails that could damage wire insulation.
- Operate luminaires within the temperature range of -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F).
