TIMER ON/OFF - Set the amount of time after which the unit will automatically turn on/off.
TIMER ON Setting
- Press the TIMER button to initiate the ON time sequence.
- Press the TEMP ∧ or ∨ button multiple times to set the desired time to turn on the unit.
- Point the remote to the unit and wait 1 second; the TIMER ON will be activated.
TIMER OFF Setting

TIMER ON & OFF Setting (Example)
Keep in mind that the time periods set for both functions refer to hours after the current time.
Example: If the current time is 1:00 PM, to set the timer as described, the unit will turn on 2.5 hours later (3:30 PM) and turn off at 6:00 PM.
How to Use Advanced Functions
Swing Function
- Press the SWING button: The horizontal louver will swing up and down automatically. Press again to stop.
- Keep pressing the SWING button for more than 2 seconds: The vertical louver swing function is activated (model dependent).
- Continue pressing the SWING button: Five different airflow directions can be set. The louver moves within a certain range each time the button is pressed. Press until the desired direction is reached.
LED Display
- Press the LED button: Turns the indoor unit's LED display and buzzer on and off.
- Press and hold the LED button for more than 5 seconds: The indoor unit displays the actual room temperature. Pressing again for more than 5 seconds reverts to displaying the set temperature.
Silence Function
Keep pressing the FAN button for more than 2 seconds to activate/disable the Silence function. Due to low frequency operation of the compressor, this may result in insufficient cooling and heating capacity. Pressing ON/OFF, Mode, Sleep, Turbo, or Clean button while operating will cancel the silence function.
ECO/GEAR Function
Press this button to enter the energy efficient mode in a sequence: ECO → GEAR(75%) → GEAR(50%) → Previous setting mode → ECO.
Note: This function is only available under COOL mode.
- ECO Operation: Under cooling mode, pressing this button adjusts the temperature to 24°C/75°F and fan speed to Auto to save energy (only when the set temperature is less than 24°C/75°F). If the set temperature is above 24°C/75°F, the fan speed changes to Auto, and the set temperature remains unchanged.
- NOTE: Pressing the ECO button, modifying the mode, or adjusting the set temperature to less than 24°C/75°F will stop ECO operation. Under ECO operation, the set temperature should be 24°C/75°F or above; otherwise, it may result in insufficient cooling. If uncomfortable, press the ECO button again to stop it.
- GEAR Operation: Press the ECO/GEAR button to enter GEAR operation: 75% (up to 75% electrical energy consumption) → 50% (up to 50% electrical energy consumption) → Previous setting mode.
Under GEAR operation, the display on the remote controller alternates between electrical energy consumption and set temperature.
Turbo Function
Press the Turbo button:
- When selected in COOL mode, the unit blows cool air with the strongest wind setting to jump-start the cooling process.
- When selected in HEAT mode, the unit blows heated air with the strongest wind setting to jump-start the heating process.
Sleep Function
Press the Sleep button: The Sleep function is used to decrease energy use while sleeping without needing the same temperature settings for comfort. This function can only be activated via remote control. For details, see "Sleep operation" in the OWNER'S MANUAL of the machine. Note: The Sleep function is not available in FAN or DRY mode.
FP Function
Press the button 2 times within one second under HEAT Mode and setting temperature of 16°C to activate FP function. Pressing ON/OFF, Sleep, Mode, Fan, or Temp. buttons while operating will cancel this function. Note: This function is for heat pump air conditioner only. The unit will operate at high fan speed (while compressor is on) with temperature automatically set to 8°C/46°F.
LOCK Function
Press together the Turbo button and the Humidity button simultaneously for more than 5 seconds to activate Lock function. All buttons will not respond except pressing these two buttons for two seconds again to disable locking.
Lifting Panel Function
Press together the Mode button and the ∨ button simultaneously for more than 3 seconds to activate this function. The remote controller displays "F2". When setting the panel status, press the ∧ or ∨ buttons of the remote controller to control the rise or fall of the grille, and press any other button to exit the setting.
SET Function
Press the SET button to enter function setting, then press SET button or TEMP ∧/∨ buttons to select the desired function. The selected symbol will flash on the display area; press the OK button to confirm.
To cancel a selected function, perform the same procedures as above.
Press the SET button to scroll through operation functions:
- Breeze Away (?) → Active Clean/Self Clean (?) → Fresh (?) → Follow Me (?) → AP mode (?) → Breeze Away... [*]: Model dependent
Breeze Away Function (?)
This feature avoids direct airflow blowing on the body and provides a feeling of silky coolness. Note: This feature is available under COOL, FAN, and DRY modes only.
Active Clean Function (?)
The Active Clean Technology washes away dust, mold, and grease that may cause odors by automatically freezing and then rapidly thawing the frost on the heat exchanger. When this function is turned on, the indoor unit display window shows "CL". After 20 to 45 minutes, the unit will turn off automatically and cancel the CLEAN function.
Follow Me Function (?)
The FOLLOW ME function enables the remote control to measure the temperature at its current location and send this signal to the air conditioner every 3 minutes. When using AUTO, COOL, or HEAT modes, measuring ambient temperature from the remote control (instead of the indoor unit) optimizes the air conditioner's performance for maximum comfort. Note: Press and hold the Turbo button for seven seconds to start/stop the memory feature of the Follow Me function.
- If the memory feature is activated, "On" displays for 3 seconds.
- If the memory feature is stopped, "OF" displays for 3 seconds.
- While the memory feature is activated, pressing ON/OFF, changing the mode, or power failure will not cancel the Follow Me function.
AP Function (?)
Choose AP mode for wireless network configuration. For some units, this may not work by pressing the SET button. To enter AP mode, continuously press the LED button seven times within 10 seconds. (This may be superseded by a wall-mounted controller depending on the air handler type and if a wall controller is included).
