Safety Instructions
General Precautions:
- Refer to the user manual for precautions during maintenance.
- Follow installation precautions as specified in the user manual.
- The power plug must remain accessible, or a switch must be installed in the fixed wiring for easy disconnection from the mains supply.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, their after-sales service, or a similarly qualified person to prevent hazards.
- Children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities, or lack of experience and knowledge, may use the unit if supervised or instructed on safe use and potential risks.
- Children must not use the unit as a toy.
- Unsupervised children must not perform cleaning and maintenance.
Specific Warnings:
- Rotating Parts: Caution: Risk of jamming.
- Conductive Hose: Caution: This hose has electrical connections. Do not use to suck up water (for vacuum cleaners only). Do not immerse in water for cleaning. The hose should be checked regularly and not used if damaged.
- Rotating Brushes/Wet Vacuums: Remove the power cable plug before cleaning or maintenance.
- Class III Devices (Removable Power Pack/Battery Operated): Use only with the provided power pack. Use only with the specified safety low voltage.
- Liquid Dispensing System: Refer to the user manual for liquid quantity and type. Remove the power plug before cleaning or maintenance. Keep the unit on a flat surface. Do not store where temperatures may drop below zero to prevent leakage and damage. Plastic tanks are not dishwasher-safe.
- Intended Use: This unit is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial applications, including staff kitchens, farms, hotels, motels, B&Bs, and catering services.
- Packaging: Remove all packaging before installation. Keep packaging materials and accessories out of reach of children.
- Voltage Check: Ensure the voltage on the nameplate matches your home's voltage.
- Housing and Vents: Never open the housing. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into openings, and do not block air vents.
- Outdoor Use: Danger: Never use the unit outdoors.
- Use on Persons/Animals: Do not use the vacuum cleaner on any person or animal.
- Unattended Operation: Do not leave the unit unattended while in use.
- Moving Parts: Keep long hair, loose clothing, fingers, and body parts away from openings and moving parts.
- Wet Hands: Danger: Do not connect the unit to the mains with wet hands; risk of electric shock.
- Water Immersion: Warning – Risk of Electric Shock! Never immerse the unit, plug, or power cable in water or any other liquid. Never use the unit with wet hands.
- Water Exposure: Danger: Do not expose the unit or its electrical components to rain, dripping water, or splashes. Do not use near water sources or in very humid locations (e.g., near a bathtub, pool, or damp cellar).
- Cable Placement: Arrange the power cable so it does not touch hot surfaces of the hob or other nearby appliances.
- Heat Exposure: Do not expose the unit to heat. Do not place near heat sources like stoves or heating appliances.
- Disconnecting the Unit: The power plug must remain accessible for disconnection. To disconnect, pull the plug, not the cable.
- Earthed Plug: If fitted with an earthed plug, connect to an earthed mains socket. Use its own individual mains socket. Do not connect via an extension cord or multi-socket.
- Cable Handling: Caution: Do not bend, crush, or jam the power cable behind the unit. Leave adequate space behind the unit to avoid direct contact with the mains socket.
- External Switches/Timers: Caution: This unit must not be powered by an external switch, timer, remote control, or connected to a circuit regularly switched on/off by the electricity supplier.
- Modification/Disassembly: Never disassemble or modify the unit.
- Accessories: Only use supplied accessories.
- Cooling and Cleaning: Attention: Always unplug the unit and let it cool down completely before cleaning or storing.
- Maintenance: Any thorough cleaning, maintenance, or accessory change must be done with the unit unplugged or power cut off.
- Malfunctions: If a malfunction cannot be resolved using the manual, contact after-sales service.
- Prohibited Substances: To preserve the unit and avoid dangerous situations, never vacuum fine dust particles (plaster, concrete), liquids, or wet substances. Never vacuum: explosive/flammable gases, liquids, dust (reactive dust), reactive metal dust (aluminum, magnesium), toxic, flammable, or combustible substances. Do not vacuum sharp, hot, or incandescent objects (cigarettes, hot ashes) at temperatures above 40°C.
- Explosion Risk: Risk of explosion with temperatures above 40°C. Waste may appear cool externally but be hot internally. Do not vacuum ashes.
- Harmful Dust/Explosive Areas: Do not vacuum harmful dust. Prohibited in areas with explosion risk.
- Airflow: To avoid damage, do not block air inlet or outlet. Ensure filter suction surfaces, air inlets, and outlets are completely dry.
- Damaged Unit: Do not use if the plug, power cable, or unit is damaged or malfunctioning. Have it inspected and repaired by an authorized service center. User repairs are not permitted.

Warranty and Repairs
Unit Under Warranty:
- The unit is guaranteed for at least 2 years* from the purchase date. (*Out of the Electrosûr warranty or extended warranty).

Out-of-Warranty Unit and Home Repairs:
- France only: Repair and troubleshooting professionals are available via www.annuaire-reparation.fr.
- Caution: Any intervention or repair by the user or a non-professional third party may endanger safety.
- Warning: The manufacturer is not responsible for damage during home repairs due to user clumsiness or failure to comply with repair instructions.
Warranty Conditions:
- The product is guaranteed against manufacturing defects or material faults for two years from the purchase date.
- This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by incorrect installation, improper use, or excessive wear and tear.
- Proof of purchase is required.
Disposing of Your Old Unit
Separate Collection for Electronic and Electrical Devices:
- Follow regulations to reduce environmental impact. You are legally responsible for separating waste (product, accessories, instructions, packaging) for recycling.
- Electrical or electronic devices must not be mixed with household waste.
