Automatic time signal reception is enabled whenever you select AUTO, DCF, or MSF for the reception mode. If you select OFF, automatic reception is disabled. Since the watch checks signals from both transmitters when AUTO is selected, reception may take up to 12 minutes.

Reference Information (СПРАВОЧНАЯ ИНФОРМАЦИЯ)

This section contains more detailed technical information about watch operations and instructions for various functions.

Auto Return Operation

If you do not press any button for two or three minutes while a cursor or digit is flashing, the flashing will stop, the watch will automatically save any settings made up to that point, and exit the setting mode. If you do not perform any operation in Alarm or Time Record modes for two or three minutes, the watch will automatically return to Current Time Mode.

Scrolling Display

The [B] and [D] buttons are used in various modes to scroll through setting values. Pressing and holding these buttons will accelerate the scrolling speed.

Initial Screen

When entering Alarm or World Time modes, the screen will first display the data you were viewing the last time you exited these modes.

Time Signal Reception Guidelines

Strong electromagnetic fields can interfere with accurate time setting. Even if you are within the transmitter's range, the signal may be blocked by mountains or other geological obstacles between the watch and the source. Reception quality depends on weather, atmospheric conditions, and seasonal changes. The time signal travels through the ionosphere. Therefore, factors such as changes in the ionosphere's reflective properties, its movement to higher altitudes due to seasonal atmospheric changes or time of day, can alter the reception range or prevent reception altogether for a period. Time setting based on the received signal has an advantage over any other setting. If you encounter problems with signal reception or if the display shows incorrect time after reception, check the city code, DST, or auto-reception settings.

How to Select Reception Mode

  1. In Current Time Mode, press and hold [A] until the city code starts flashing.
  2. Press [C] to advance to the reception mode setting.
  3. Use [D] to scroll through the available settings and select your desired option:
    • AUTO: Automatic selection of signal from Rugby or Mainflingen.
    • DCF: Reception of signal from Mainflingen.
    • MSF: Reception of signal from Rugby.
    • OFF: Disable automatic reception.

Note: When your city code is anything other than LON, PAR, BER, or ATH, the transmitter indicator will show "OFF" instead of the transmitter name.

How to Enable Power Saving Function

  1. In Current Time Mode, press and hold [A] until the city code starts flashing.
  2. Press [A] again.
  3. Press [C] 7 times until the power saving ON/OFF setting screen appears.
  4. Press [D] to enable (ON) or disable (OFF) the power saving function.
  5. Press [A] to exit the setting mode.

Backlight Operation

Your watch uses an electroluminescent backlight that loses its light-emitting capability after extended use. The backlight is difficult to see in direct sunlight. A faint sound may be heard when the display is illuminated; this is due to the vibration of the backlight elements and is not an indication of malfunction. The backlight automatically turns off during alarm sounds. Frequent use of the backlight shortens battery life.

Caution: It is not recommended to wear the watch on the inside of your wrist, as this may cause accidental activation of the auto-illumination function, shortening battery life. If you choose to wear the watch on the inside of your wrist, disable this function. The backlight turns off after 1 second, even if you continue to tilt the watch towards you. Auto-illumination may not activate if the watch face is tilted more than 15 degrees to the left or right. Ensure your hand is parallel to the ground. Static electricity or magnetic fields can interfere with proper auto-illumination. If auto-illumination does not work, try returning the watch to its starting position (parallel to the ground), shake it, and tilt it towards you again. Under certain conditions, the backlight may activate only 1 second after performing the above actions.

To prevent the battery from draining rapidly, the auto-illumination function turns off automatically after 6 hours of continuous activation. To use it again, repeat the activation procedure.

Battery (БАТАРЕЯ)

This watch is equipped with a solar power system and a rechargeable battery that is charged by electricity converted from solar energy.

Important! Storing the watch in darkness for extended periods, wearing it on the inside of your wrist, or covering it with clothing sleeves can significantly reduce battery power.
