- Read the entire instruction manual before proceeding.
- Ensure all components listed are present.
- If components are missing, contact customer support at 951-493-7185.
- Ensure you have all necessary tools.
- Do not work on a hot engine.

Installation Procedure
Step 1: Prepare Vehicle ECU (Sleep Mode)
Place the vehicle's ECU in sleep mode before installing the module.
- Cold Engine: Open hood, close doors, lock car, wait 30 seconds.
- Warm Engine: Open hood, close doors, lock car, wait 20 minutes.
- Warm Engine (Expedited): Disconnect the vehicle battery.
Important Note: Do not open doors or start the vehicle while a sensor is disconnected, as this may trigger a check engine light. [!]
Step 2: Identify Connectors
Refer to the diagram to identify the connectors. The MAF Sensor Jumper Harness features a male connector for the engine harness and a female connector for the MAF sensor. [?]
Step 3: Locate MAF Sensor
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor is located on the vehicle's intake tube. [?]
Step 4: Disconnect MAF Sensor
To disconnect the MAF sensor, pull back the white locking tab, press down on the connector, and slide it out of the sensor. [➡️]
Steps 5-7: Connect Jumper Harness
Locate the MAF sensor jumper harness on the aFe POWER harness.
Connect the female connector of the aFe POWER harness to the MAF sensor.
Connect the male connector of the aFe POWER harness to the vehicle's engine harness connector.
Ensure all connections are fully seated and locking tabs are secured. Connections should click into place. [✔️]
Steps 8-10: Mount Module and Secure Wiring
Select a mounting location for the Scorcher GT module that is dry and protected from extreme heat and moving parts.
A recommended mounting spot is on the passenger side of the engine bay, atop the fuse box.
Route the harness wires away from moving parts and extreme heat. Use the included cable ties for a neat and secure installation. [?]
Step 11: Module Operation
To turn the Scorcher GT ON or OFF, press the button on the side of the module. A blue LED will illuminate when the module is active. Thank you for choosing aFe POWER!
Note: The module can be turned ON or OFF while the vehicle is running or the ECU is still active.
