Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Seat

Place the seat cushion over a table edge. A zipper on the underside of the cushion is shown being closed, indicated by a directional arrow [right-arrow].

Step 2: Attach Seat Mechanism

Align the seat mechanism plate with the underside of the seat cushion. Use the Allen key (124345) and screws (121544) to attach the mechanism. Ensure correct alignment as shown in the inset diagrams; incorrect alignment is marked with a cross [cross].

Step 3: Secure Mechanism

Use the Allen key (124345) to tighten the four screws (121544) securing the seat mechanism to the seat cushion. An inset shows the screw being turned with a rotational arrow [rotate-arrow].

Step 4: Attach Casters

Insert the five casters (153539, 153540) into the ends of the star-shaped base legs. Ensure they are pushed in firmly. An inset shows a caster being inserted into a socket, with a warning symbol [warning] and an arrow indicating correct insertion.

Step 5: Attach Gas Lift

Insert the gas lift cylinder into the center of the star base.

Step 6: Connect Seat to Base

Place the assembled seat onto the top of the gas lift cylinder. A downward arrow indicates the action. The seat should fit securely.

Chair Features and Usage

Tilt Adjustment

The chair features a tilt function. The lever mechanism controls the tilt lock and tension. An inset shows how to unlock the tilt [unlock] and lock the tilt [lock]. Adjusting the tilt tension can be done using the knob and Allen key (124345) to make the tilt resistance lighter [plus] or heavier [minus].

Automatic Castor Locking

For safety reasons, the casters automatically lock when the chair is not in use, preventing unintended movement.
