Adding Device:
- Power on the valve controller.
- Select the gateway you wish to add the device to.
- Press and hold the Open/Close Button for 5 seconds, then release. Ensure the blue LED flashes.
- Confirm the indicator light is rapidly blinking.
- Keep the valve controller close to the gateway during the pairing process.
Upon successful connection, an icon will appear, allowing you to change the device name and control the valve (open/close) by clicking the icon.
Restoring Factory Default Settings
To reset the valve controller to its factory default settings, press and hold the Open/Close Button for 10 seconds and then release. A flashing light indicates a successful factory reset. Please be aware that resetting the device will disconnect it from your system. This action should only be performed if the controller is missing or otherwise unreachable.
Hardware Installation
The main ball valve should be installed in a location convenient for manual opening and closing. The manipulator (valve controller) should be positioned approximately 20mm away from the wall. Insert the mounting hole into the pipe clamp and secure it with a screw. Place the pipe adjuster onto the clamp and install it with the water pipe. Fix the adjuster to ensure the middle line of the auto valve and the middle point of the ball valve are aligned, after the rocker arm clips the valve handle.
Diagram Description: Hardware Installation Diagram
This diagram illustrates the physical installation process. It shows a pipe clamp, pipe adjuster, and screws used to secure the valve controller to a water pipe and its handle. The alignment of the controller's middle line with the ball valve's middle point is depicted.
For Bottled Gas Users
To connect bottled gas, uninstall the original pressure reducing valve. Install the manipulator with the special ball valve for the pipe between the original angle valve and the pressure reducing valve, and then tighten it.
Diagram Description: Bottled Gas Connection Diagram
This diagram shows the setup for bottled gas applications: a gas cylinder connected via a hose and clip to a special ball valve for gas. The valve controller's manipulator is installed between the gas cylinder's angle valve and the pressure reducing valve, with the special ball valve integrated into the piping.
Override Operation
The valve controller can be operated manually in case of a power outage, loss of communication with your hub, or other emergencies.
- Unplug the power from the device.
- Locate the Motor Clutch on the underside of the device.
- Pull the Motor Clutch outward by the keychain ring. This will disengage the Control Arm from the motor, allowing it to move freely.
Diagram Description: Manual Override Diagram
This diagram details the manual override function. It shows how to pull out a clutch tab to disengage the control arm from the motor, allowing manual valve operation.
Diagram Description: Axis Alignment Diagram
A critical alignment is highlighted: the center axis of the valve must precisely match the center axis of the shut-off mechanism for proper operation.
Device Management (via App)
After successful connection, the app displays device status and management options:
- Device Status: Shows if the water valve is on or off.
- Disconnecting: To remove the device from the network, click the icon in the upper right corner and select "Remove Device".
- Device Details: Access options such as Device Location, Share Device, Create Group, Device Information, Feedback, and Check for Firmware Upgrades.
Notes on Operation
In case of alarm failure, overhaul, or power cut, the valve can be closed manually:
- Pull out the clutch tab and keep it.
- Manually turn the handle to 90 degrees.
- Open and close the handle to the dead point until it moves smoothly.
- Release the tab, then gently move the handle to return the clutch to its original position.
This product is also applicable to the automatic control of other gas or fluid valves, such as water valves.
