1. Standard Accessories
The device includes various adapters for different valve types:
- Adapter for Danfoss RA valves

2. Display Symbols
Understanding the device's display:
- Middle button: Used for switching modes and activating functions.
- Knob button: Used for adjusting temperature and screen rotation.
- Wi-Fi symbol (?): Indicates Wi-Fi connection status.
- Low battery symbol (?): Indicates the battery level is low.
- Set button: Used for setting parameters and screen rotation.
- Battery compartment lock: Secures the battery compartment.
3. Installation
Follow these steps to install the Thermostatic Radiator Valve:
- Press the battery compartment lock, remove the cover, and insert batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- The device initializes, the mandrel pulls back, then the screen displays a symbol and "17" blinking.
- When the symbol and "17" stop blinking, install the TRV union nut with M30*1.5 thread for the heating valve and tighten the nut.
- Press the middle button; "Ad" starts blinking, indicating the valve-adjusting process. The process completes when the initialized screen is displayed (approx. 3 minutes).
How to install the adapter correctly:
- For Danfoss RA valves (H13mm)
- For Caleffi valves (H4.8mm)
- For Danfoss RAV valves (H8.6mm)
- For Danfoss RAVL valves (H11mm)
- For M28 valves
- For Giacomini valves
Attention: After the antifreeze function is activated, the valve opens if room temperature is below 5°C and closes if above 7°C to prevent freezing damage.
4. Temperature Control Mode
Switch between Auto and Manual modes by pressing the middle button.
Auto Mode:
When the Auto mode symbol [auto-mode-symbol] is displayed. Four time periods and setting temperatures can be programmed daily, forming a weekly cycle.
Manual Mode:
When the Manual mode symbol [manual-mode-symbol] is not displayed. The device operates according to the current setting temperature, ignoring programmed schedules.
Temporary Mode:
Under Auto mode, the Temporary mode symbol [temp-mode-symbol] will be blinking after setting a temperature. The device temporarily switches to Manual mode until the next scheduled period, then returns to Auto mode.
5. Stop heating and pause heating
- Stop Heating (ON): In summer, rotate the knob clockwise to "07" in manual mode. The heating valve opens fully to extend its lifespan.
- Pause Heating (OFF): In winter, rotate the knob counterclockwise to "F" in manual mode. The heating valve closes, activating frost protection.
6. Adjust setting temperature and Screen rotation
- Adjust setting temperature: Rotate the knob to adjust the temperature in 0.5°C increments.
- Screen rotation (?): Long press the Set Button for 3 seconds to change the screen display direction.
7. Open-window function and Anti-scale
Open-window function (?):
Enable this function in the APP. The device detects open windows by identifying a temperature drop of over 1.5°C within 4.5 minutes. The screen displays "F", and the temperature is set to 12°C.
Attention: The open-window function is terminated by: 1. Temperature setting via APP or device. 2. Detected temperature rise of over 1.5°C within 4.5 minutes. 3. No operation on APP or device for 30 minutes.
Anti-scale (⚙️):
The TRV performs routine decalcification every Monday at 12:00. "CA" is displayed during this process.
8. Child lock function and Restore factory settings
Child lock function (?):
Long press the middle button for 3 seconds until "LC" appears to activate. Long press again for 3 seconds until "LC" disappears to deactivate.
Restore factory settings:
Long press the middle button and insert batteries simultaneously until "FA" blinks for 3 seconds. The device will reset and restart. All previous settings will be lost.
9. APP remote control and voice control
Control your TRV remotely via the Smart Life app and voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Voice Control (?️):
Amazon Alexa: "Alexa, set [Device Name] to 26 degrees."
Google Assistant: "Ok Google, set [Device Name] to 23 degrees."
Other commands include adjusting temperature, turning child lock on/off, and checking status.
Note: Ensure the device name and temperature unit match between the TRV and the smart speaker.
10. Download Smart Life APP
Scan the QR code or search "Smart Life" on the App Store or Google Play to download the app.

11. Add device
Steps to add the TRV to the Smart Life app:
- In manual mode, rotate the knob counterclockwise to "OF". Long press the middle button for 3 seconds until a symbol blinks.
- Open the "Home" interface in the app, click the "+" icon, select "Add device", and enter the Wi-Fi password.
- Select 2.4G Wi-Fi, enter the password, and click "Next".
- Upon successful connection, click "Next" to complete the addition.
Attention: Network configuration requires manual mode and phone Bluetooth to be enabled.
12. Mode Selection
Select modes via the app or device:
- Auto mode: Program daily schedules for four time periods.
- Manual mode: Set a specific temperature.
- Off mode: Valve closes to stop heating.
- ON mode: Valve opens for heating.
13. Week program setting
Set custom heating schedules for each day of the week:
Click a symbol to enter the week program setting page. Set four time periods and corresponding temperatures for each day (Monday to Sunday).

16. Device sharing function
Share control of the TRV with family members via the app:
- From the menu, select "Share Device".
- Click "Add home member".

- The invited member accepts the invitation to gain access.
