Step 2: Remove the interior part of your lock cylinder
Refer to your lock cylinder's user manual. Remove all screws and the cylinder's interior part.
Step 3: Install the mounting bracket
Use the suitable long screws from the package. Align the mounting bracket with the screw holes on the cylinder. Secure the bracket with the screws. Ensure the metal rod at the end of your lock cylinder extends through the middle hole of the mounting bracket.
Step 4: Install the cylinder adaptor
Select a cylinder adaptor compatible with your metal rod's cross-section. Attach it to the metal rod, ensuring it can turn the cylinder.
Step 5: Install Lock Pro onto your door
- Align the back groove of the Lock Pro thumbturn with the cylinder adaptor. Fit the adaptor securely into the groove. Turn the Lock Pro thumbturn to confirm it can lock and unlock your door correctly.
- Secure the four hex screws into the screw holes on both sides of the Lock Pro.
- Verify that your Lock Pro is securely attached, then remove the blue tape.
Step 6: Install the magnet
Position the magnet based on your Lock Pro's installation location. It is recommended that the top of the Lock Pro thumbturn and the magnet are horizontally aligned, with a distance of less than 30 mm between them.
Remove the tape liner from the magnet's back and stick it onto the door frame. Press the magnet firmly for at least 60 seconds.
Important Notes for Magnet Installation:
- Orient the side with a mark towards the thumbturn on your Lock Pro. Failure to do so may prevent the magnet from detecting door opening and closing.
- If the magnet's adhesive is weak, apply the Additional Double-sided Tape to the marked side of the magnet before sticking it to the door frame.
Tip: After installation and calibration with the magnet, you can monitor your door's status and utilize features like Auto-Lock via the SwitchBot app.
