RC-51H User Manual
Multi-use Temperature & Humidity Data Logger
Product Overview
This temperature and humidity data logger is primarily used in fields such as medicine, food, life science, flowers, breeding industry, ice chests, containers, shady cabinets, medical cabinets, refrigerators, laboratories, and greenhouses. The RC-51H is plug-and-play, allowing users to generate a data report directly without needing to install data management software. The data can still be accessed even if the battery runs out.
Structure Description
The RC-51H data logger consists of the following components:
- LCD Screen: Displays information such as battery status (A), Mean Kinetic Temperature (B), recording start indicator (C), stop recording indicator (D), cyclic recording indicator (E), computer connection indicator (F), temperature unit (°C/°F) (G), humidity unit (H), progress percentage or timing indicator (I), average value indicator (J), number of records (K), and combined indicator (L).
- Sensor: The integrated sensor for temperature and humidity readings.
- USB Port: Located at the top for connecting to a computer.
- Transparent Cap: Protects the USB port and needs to be removed for connection.
- Seal Ring: Ensures proper sealing.
- Button & Bi-color indicator: A button for interaction and a bi-color LED indicator (red and green) for status feedback.
Product Label Information: Typically includes Model (RC-51H), Version (e.g., 1.0), Serial Number (S/N), Barcode, Firmware Version, and Certification information (e.g., EN 12830-S, T, C, D, I, CE, RoHS).
Parameter Instruction
Users can reconfigure parameters using the data management software. Note that reconfiguring will clear existing data.
- Alarm Threshold: Supports 3 upper temperature limits, 2 lower temperature limits, 1 upper humidity limit, and 1 lower humidity limit.
- Alarm Zone: The range outside the defined alarm threshold.
- Alarm Type: Can be set to 'Single' (records the first instance of an over-temperature event) or 'Cumulative' (records the total time spent outside the threshold).
- Alarm Delay: The logger will not alarm immediately when within the alarm zone; it waits for the specified delay time to elapse before triggering an alarm.
- MRT (Mean Kinetic Temperature): An evaluation method for temperature fluctuation effects on stored goods.
Operating Instructions
The data logger can be started and stopped via button press or software. For detailed operations, refer to the menu and status indicators.
Logger Status Indicators:

Over-Max-record-capacity (enable manual stop) | Reach the Max capacity or press and hold the button for 5s | [EC] | Red indicator flashes 5 times. |
Viewing Data: When the data logger is connected to a computer's USB port, a data report is automatically generated. The red and green indicators flash alternately during report creation. The LCD shows the PDF report creation progress. Once created, both indicators light up simultaneously, and the data report can be viewed. Document creation takes up to 4 minutes.
Steps to View Data:
- Rotate the transparent cap in the direction of the arrow [arrow-right] and remove it.
- Insert the data logger into the computer's USB port.
- View the data report (e.g., XXX.pdf).
