Elitech RC-4 Series Multilingual Specification

Overview

The Elitech RC-4 series comprises multi-use data loggers. The RC-4 is a temperature logger, while the RC-4HC is a temperature and humidity logger. These devices are designed to record temperature and humidity data for goods such as food and medicines during storage and transportation. They are widely applicable across various stages of the cold chain, including cooler bags, cooling cabinets, medicine cabinets, refrigerators, laboratories, reefer containers, and trucks.

  2. Install Probe
By default, RC-4/4HC uses the internal sensor to measure temperatures. If you need to use the external temperature probe, simply connect it as shown in the diagram.
  3. Install Software
Please download and install the free ElitechLog software (macOS and Windows) from the following websites:
  4. Configure Parameters
Connect the data logger to your computer via USB cable. Wait until the ? icon appears on the LCD. Use the ElitechLog Software:
    • If default parameters are acceptable, click 'Quick Reset' under the 'Summary' menu to synchronize local time.
    • To change parameters, click the 'Parameter' menu, enter your preferred values, and click 'Save Parameter'.
Warning! For first-time use or after battery replacement, ensure you click 'Quick Reset' or 'Save Parameter' to sync local time and avoid time/time zone errors.
  5. Start Logging
Press Button: Press and hold the button for 5 seconds until the ▶️ icon shows on the LCD, indicating logging has started. Note: A flashing icon indicates a start delay is configured.
  6. Stop Logging
Press Button*: Press and hold the button for 5 seconds until the ⏹️ icon shows on the LCD.
Auto Stop: The logger stops automatically when the maximum memory (16,000 points) is reached.
Use Software: Open ElitechLog software, click 'Summary' menu, and then 'Stop Logging'.
Note: '*Default stop is via Press Button. If disabled, this function will be invalid. Use the software to stop logging.
  7. Download Data
