Sylvox 40" SMART RV TV

Model: RT40G3KHFA

General Information & Safety Precautions

To avoid damaging the television set, please observe the following safety instructions during setup and use:

Cleaning the Television Set

Before cleaning, disconnect the television set. Use only a soft damp cloth or a special cleaning product for flat-screens. Too much pressure on the screen can damage the television set.

Environment

  • Heat/Humidity: The television set should not be exposed to high temperatures (radiators, open fire) or areas with high humidity.
  • Condensation: If moved from a cool area to one with a higher temperature, allow the television set to acclimatize for at least an hour before plugging it in. Rapid temperature changes can lead to condensation and potential damage.
  • Air Circulation: To prevent overheating, ensure ventilation slots at the rear are always clear and not obstructed by items like newspapers or curtains.
  • Small Objects: Prevent small objects or liquids from entering the television set to avoid damage or fire.
  • Crushing: Take care to avoid crushing fingers or other objects when moving or turning the television set.

Electric Supply

Use the television set only with the specified voltage. Ensure easy access to the power plug for disconnection. Do not disconnect by pulling the power cable; always pull the plug. Keep the power cable from being kinked or placed over sharp edges. Handle the power cord with dry hands only.

Moving and Repairs

  • Moving: When moving the television set, hold only the casing.
  • Repairs/Accessories: Repairs and servicing must be undertaken only by authorized and trained personnel.

Battery Disposal

In accordance with regulations, batteries must be disposed of in provided containers.

Power Disconnection

In extreme weather (storms, lightning) and during long inactivity periods (e.g., holidays), disconnect the TV set from the mains. The mains plug serves as the disconnect device and must remain readily operable. If not disconnected, the device will still draw power even in standby mode.

Important Warnings

WARNING: Never let people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, use electrical devices unsupervised.

  • Maintain at least 5cm (approx. 2 inches) of free space around the TV for ventilation.
  • Do not place the TV, furniture, etc., on the power cord. A damaged cord can cause fire or electric shock.
  • Never touch the power cord/plug with wet hands.
  • Never tie knots in the power cord or tie it with other cords. Replace damaged cords only with qualified parts.
  • Do not expose the TV to liquids. Do not place objects filled with liquids (e.g., vases) on or over the TV.
  • Do not place open flames (e.g., lit candles) on or near the TV.
  • Do not place heat sources (e.g., electric heaters, radiators) near the TV.
  • Do not place the TV on the floor or inclined surfaces.
  • Keep plastic bags out of reach of children and domestic animals to prevent suffocation.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire or with hazardous materials. Batteries must not be exposed to excessive heat. Seek immediate medical attention if batteries are swallowed or placed inside any part of the body.

Wall Mounting Warnings

Read instructions before mounting. Do not install on an incline. Use specified screws and accessories. Tighten screws firmly but do not over-tighten. A falling TV can cause serious injury or death. Educate children about the dangers of climbing furniture.
