1. Precautions
To ensure safe operation and prevent damage, please observe the following:
- Avoid dropping the product from heights, as it contains precision electronic components susceptible to irreparable damage from falls exceeding 1.2 meters.
- Do not expose the product to water or immerse it to protect internal electronic components.
- The product contains a built-in lithium battery. Do not disassemble, strike, squeeze, or expose the battery to fire. If the battery shows severe swelling, discontinue use immediately.
- Avoid using or storing the product in high temperature, high humidity, or extreme temperature conditions to prolong battery life and maintain device performance.
- Ensure the product is placed in a safe location, out of reach of children, to prevent accidental injury or damage.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the product yourself to avoid safety incidents or equipment damage.
- Read all operating instructions carefully before using the product for safety and correct operation.
2. Product Appearance
The Inateck BCST-47 Barcode Scanner is a handheld device. Key components include:
- Screen: Displays operational information.
- Scan Button: Used for scanning barcodes and controlling the device.
- Barcode Scanner: The primary component for reading barcodes.
- Lanyard Hole: For attaching a lanyard for secure carrying.
- Charging Port: For connecting the USB cable to charge the device.
The device has a compact, ergonomic design suitable for scanning.
3. Quick Start
3.1 How to Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the scan button for 3 seconds.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the scan button for 3 seconds.
Note: The scanner will automatically turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity. A light press on the scan button will wake it up.
3.2 Interface Instructions
After powering on, the screen displays operational information:
- Main Interface: Shows Signal strength, Battery Indicator, and the Barcode Display Frame which shows scanned barcodes. An Upload Prompt provides feedback on upload results.
- Inventory Mode Interface: When "Inventory Mode" is scanned or activated via the Inateck Scanner APP, the screen switches to show Signal, Battery Indicator, Barcode Display Frame, Total scan count, and Save Prompt (feedback on save results).
3.3 Charging
- Low Battery: When the battery level drops below 30%, a "low battery" pop-up reminder appears. Press the scan button once to dismiss it, then connect the included USB cable to a charger or computer USB port to charge.
- Exhausted Battery: When the battery is depleted, a "Power off" pop-up appears. Do not attempt to power on; charge the scanner promptly.
Battery voltage and charge level may fluctuate during use. Refer to the low battery prompts for status.
