Names and functions of parts
The Speed Wi-Fi HOME 5G L11 has several parts with specific functions indicated by lamps and buttons:
- SIGNAL lamp: Indicates the signal strength of 5G, LTE, or WiMAX 2+ signal.
- MODE/UPDATE lamp: Indicates the communication mode or notifies of software updates.
- STATUS lamp: Indicates the operational status of the product.
- DATA USAGE lamp: Indicates when a specified data usage amount has been exceeded.
- WPS button: Used to connect WPS-compatible devices via wireless LAN (Wi-Fi®).
- MODE button: Switches between communication modes.
- UPDATE button: Initiates software updates.
- LAN port: Connects to a PC or other devices via an Ethernet cable.
- Power terminal: Connects the AC Adapter for power.
- Ventilator: Ensures proper airflow; do not block.
- LAN port lamp: Shows the LAN/WAN connection status.
- Label: Contains essential information like SSID, security key (password), and IMEI. Do not remove.
- au IC card slot cover: Covers the au IC card slot and RESET button.
- Terminal for inspection: A connection terminal for inspection purposes only; do not use.
- RESET button: Resets settings to factory defaults.
- au IC card slot: Where the au IC card is inserted.
- Hole for fixing au IC card slot cover: Secures the au IC card slot cover.
Main LED lamp indications
The status of the product is indicated by LED colors and patterns:
- SIGNAL lamp: Off (out of service area, no au IC card), On (connected to 5G/LTE/WiMAX 2+ with signal level 1-3).
- MODE/UPDATE lamp: On (ST mode or +A mode), Blink (Auto Mode or software update detected).
- STATUS lamp: On (power on, acquiring WAN IP, normally connected), Blink (connection error due to au IC card issues or out of service area).
- DATA USAGE lamp: On (data usage not exceeded, exceeded to notify, or exceeded maximum limit).
- LAN port lamp: On (connected to LAN port), Blink intermittently (communicating via LAN port, speed varies).
Button operations
Switching the communication mode
Press and hold the MODE button for approximately two seconds to switch between ST mode, +A mode, or Auto Mode.
Updating the software
Press the UPDATE button for over approximately one second when an update is detected (MODE/UPDATE lamp blinking) to start the update process. The MODE/UPDATE lamp will blink during the update.
Connecting with a WPS compatible wireless LAN (Wi-Fi®) device
Press the WPS button (within approximately three seconds) to initiate WPS connection. The STATUS lamp will blink during this process.
Resetting the product to the factory default state
Press and hold the RESET button with a fine-tipped object for over approximately three seconds (with the product powered on) to reset all settings to their factory defaults.

What you can do with Speed Wi-Fi HOME 5G L11
Connect up to 30 devices simultaneously via Wi-Fi®, or one PC via Ethernet cable. The product provides data communication through 5G, LTE, or WiMAX 2+ systems.
- Connecting via wireless LAN (Wi-Fi®): Connect PCs, smartphones, and other devices.
- Connecting via Ethernet cable (sample): Connect a PC using the included cable. Wi-Fi and LAN connections can be used simultaneously, supporting up to 32 devices in total.
Setting communication mode (WAN)
Choose between:
- ST mode (Standard Mode): Connects to 5G, LTE, or WiMAX 2+ networks.
- +A mode (Plus Area Mode): Connects to 5G, LTE, or WiMAX 2+ networks, potentially offering a wider communication area than ST mode. Note that additional fees may apply for +A mode depending on your billing plan.
The product defaults to ST mode.
Location
The SIGNAL lamp indicates signal strength. Three lamps indicate a strong signal.
For more detailed signal strength information and to find the optimal location, use the Speed Wi-Fi HOME setting tool or the "ZTELink JP" app.
Useful features of Speed Wi-Fi HOME 5G L11
- "ZTELink JP" app: Install this app on your smartphone to connect to the product by scanning a QR code. The app allows you to check product status and configure settings.
- Wi-Fi setting copy feature: Copy Wi-Fi settings (SSID and password) from your previous Wi-Fi router to the product, simplifying device reconnection. This feature requires your former router to have WPS functionality.

Preparation
au IC card (SIM card)
The au IC card stores your phone number and is required for the product to function. It is compatible with the au Nano IC Card 04 LE. Handle the card carefully to avoid damage. The STATUS lamp will blink red if the card is not inserted correctly or is faulty. Ensure the AC Adapter is disconnected before inserting or removing the au IC card.
Attaching au IC card
- Open the au IC Card slot cover by pulling it in the direction of the arrow.
- Insert the au IC card into the slot with the IC (metal) side facing down, aligning the notch. Push until it clicks.
- Align the au IC Card slot cover and gently press it to close.
Turning the power on
- Plug the AC Adapter into a 100V outlet.
- Connect the DC plug of the AC Adapter to the product's power terminal.
Connecting by manual setting
Connect the product and wireless LAN (Wi-Fi®) devices manually:
- Turn on the product's power.
- On your wireless LAN (Wi-Fi®) device, enable the wireless LAN (Wi-Fi®) function.
- Select the product's SSID from the list of available networks.
- Enter the security key (password).
The product's SSID and security key are found on the bottom of the unit and the "Wi-Fi Initial Setup" label.
Activating Speed Wi-Fi HOME setting tool
Configure product settings using the Speed Wi-Fi HOME setting tool via a web browser:
- Turn on the product's power.
- Connect your device to the product via wireless LAN (Wi-Fi®).
- Open a web browser and navigate to "http://speedwifi-home.5g".
- Select "English" from the language list, enter the password, and click "Login". The default password is on the "Wi-Fi Initial Setup" label.
Follow on-screen instructions for initial setup and password changes.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot connect wireless LAN (Wi-Fi®) devices: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. If WPS fails, try manual setup.
- Internet connection fails: Check service area, signal reception, and network congestion. Verify the product's internet connection via the setting tool.
- Communication stops intermittently: Check signal reception, device connections (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), and network congestion. Try reconnecting the Ethernet cable or restarting the product and PC.
- Communication speed is slow: Check signal reception and network congestion. Consider resetting the product or reinserting the au IC card.
