First Setup
Automatic Earbud Pairing
Step A: Remove the earbuds from the charging case and peel off the protective stickers.
Step B: To power on, press and hold the touch sensors for over 3 seconds. One earbud will glow solid white, and the other will flash blue/white, indicating it's ready to pair with your device.
Bluetooth Connection
Select 'JLab JBuds Air Sport' in your device's Bluetooth settings. Two beeps followed by a solid white light indicate a successful connection.
Adding New / Additional Bluetooth Devices:
Turn OFF Bluetooth on all previously connected devices. Turn ON Bluetooth on the new device. Remove earbuds from the case. The earbuds will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Select 'JLab JBuds Air Sport' in your device's settings to connect.

Button Functions
Left Earbud
- Volume Down: Single tap.
- Siri (iOS) or 'OK Google' (Android): Double tap.
- Switch Music / Movie Mode: Press and hold for over 1 second.
- EQ Change: Triple tap (Cycles through JBuds Air Sport EQ settings).
- Power On: Press and hold for over 3 seconds.
Right Earbud
- Volume Up: Single tap.
- Play / Pause: Double tap.
- Next Track: Press and hold for over 1 second.
- Answer Call: Single tap.
- End Call: Double tap.
- Reject Incoming Call: Press and hold for over 1 second.
- Ambient Aware On/Off: Triple tap.
- Power On: Press and hold for over 3 seconds.
Audio Cues
- Power On: Beep ?
- Bluetooth Connected: 2 beeps ?
- Low Battery: 'Low battery' alert (below 20%) ?
- Power Off: Beep ?
Turning Off Earbuds Without Charging Case
Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and disconnect 'JLab JBuds Air Sport'. The earbuds will power off automatically after 3 minutes.
Equalizer (EQ) Modes
Triple tap the left earbud to cycle through EQ settings. An audio cue will indicate the selected EQ mode.
- JLab Signature (One beep): JLab C3™ Signature sound with enhanced audio and bass.
- Balanced (Two beeps): Even volume with no extra bass boost.
- Bass Boost (Three beeps): Amplified bass and sub-bass.
Charging the Earbuds
1. Placing the earbuds in the charging case turns them off and begins charging. A blue light indicates charging is in progress; the light turns off when charging is complete. ✔️
2. When you remove the earbuds from the case, they will automatically power on and reconnect to your device.
Charging the Case
Connect the JBuds Air Sport to a computer or a 5V/1A (or lower) rated USB power source. Charging indicator lights flash white while charging and turn solid white when fully charged. ?
Wearing Instructions
- Insert the earbud into your ear.
- Adjust the earbud for a secure fit.
- Use the appropriate ear tip to create a proper seal for optimal sound quality.
Troubleshooting
No Sound on Left Earbud or Earbuds Not Connecting (Manual Reset)
- Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and disconnect 'JLab JBuds Air Sport'.
- Open the charging case lid and keep both earbuds inside. On ONE earbud, quickly tap the touch sensor 7 times. The light will flash 3 times. Keep earbuds in the case.
- Repeat step 2 for the other earbud. Quickly tap its sensor 7 times. The light will flash 3 times.
- Remove both earbuds from the case and hold them about 5 cm apart. Wait for one earbud to glow solid white and the other to flash blue/white. Your earbuds are now ready to pair with your device.
Bluetooth Device Not Connecting / Reconnecting
- Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and disconnect 'JLab JBuds Air Sport'.
- Turn Bluetooth OFF, then ON. ⚙️
- Remove earbuds from the case. Wait for one earbud to glow solid white and the other to flash blue/white.
- To reconnect, select 'JLab JBuds Air Sport' in your device's settings.

Quick Tips
- Ensure earbuds are completely dry before placing them in the charging case.
- You can use either the left or right earbud independently for music or calls. Remove one from the case to connect.
- Choosing the correct ear tip significantly improves sound quality by ensuring a proper seal. Try all tips for the best results.
- You can only connect to ONE Bluetooth device at a time. Turn off Bluetooth on devices you don't want to connect to, and turn it on for the device you wish to use.
Important Notes
- Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity.
- Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds.
- Earwax buildup in the ear tips can reduce sound quality. Gently clean ear tips with a dry swab or small tool to improve sound.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or temporarily discontinue use.
- If you experience regular discomfort during use, stop using the product and consult a doctor.
- Treat your earbuds like valuable sunglasses: store them safely when not in use.
