Safety Instructions
Battery Warning: Keep out of the reach of children.
- This product is not a toy.
- Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not handle or play with the product.
- This product contains no user serviceable parts. Only a qualified electrician should attempt repairs.
- If any part of the appliance is malfunctioning or if it has been dropped or damaged, cease using the product immediately to avoid potential injury.
- Do not insert fingers into any openings or inside the product.
- Do not place, store or use the product near direct sunlight or direct heat sources or in a damp/high humidity environment.
- This product is a high precision device; handle it with care.
- This product is intended for domestic use only.
Battery Safety:
- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
- In the event of a battery and cell leaking, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
- Secondary cells and batteries need to be charged before use. After extended periods of storage, it may be necessary to charge and discharge the cells or batteries several times to obtain maximum performance.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
- Do not crush, puncture, dismantle or otherwise damage batteries.
- Do not store above 60°C.
- Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
- Do not dispose of exhausted batteries in household waste.
- Do not expose the batteries to heat or fire, as they may explode.
- Once the batteries have been exhausted, dispose of the product at a local recycling station. Contact the local government offices for further details.
- This product is fitted with a rechargeable 3.7 V Li-ion battery (non-removable).
Care and Maintenance
Wipe the exterior of the scale with a soft, damp cloth and allow it to dry thoroughly.
Never immerse the scale in water or any other liquid.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning detergents or scourers to clean the scale, as this could cause damage.
Instructions for Use
Charging the Scale
The battery icon ? and the word 'Lo' will appear when the product is low on battery. Connect the Type-C connector on the USB charging cable into the charging port on the scale and the other end to a compatible USB port.
Switching on the Scale
To switch on the scale, press 'O / TARE'. Wait until display shows '0'.
Changing the Volume of the Scale
To switch the sound on or off, press and hold 'ZERO' for approx. 5 seconds.
Converting Weight Units
Press 'UNIT' to change between g, oz, lb:oz, ml and fl.oz. The ml and fl.oz measures are suitable for all water based liquids, e.g. wine, stock, milk.
Using the Add & Weigh Feature
To weigh several ingredients at the same time, press 'O / TARE' to reset the display between each ingredient.
Using the Stopwatch Feature
Press 'O' to start or stop the stopwatch. To reset the stopwatch, press 'ZERO'.
Using the Timer Feature
STEP 1: Press and hold 'O' to use the timer. The minutes display will start to flash.
STEP 2: Use 'UNIT' and 'ZERO' to set the number of minutes.
STEP 3: Tap 'O' to confirm the number of minutes. The seconds display will start to flash.
STEP 4: Use 'UNIT' and 'ZERO' to set the number of seconds.
STEP 5: Tap 'O' to confirm the number of seconds. The timer will now begin.
NOTE: Use 'O' to pause the timer and 'ZERO' to reset the timer to zero.
Using the Auto Timer Feature
STEP 1: Press and hold 'UNIT' for approx. 5 seconds. The auto timer indicator 'A' will start to flash, and the display will show 'OFF.'
STEP 2: Press 'ZERO' to switch the auto timer feature on. The indicator will continue to flash.
STEP 3: Place the brewing container on the scale. After approx. 3 seconds, the weight reading will reset.
STEP 4: Add coffee grounds to the brewing container. After approx. 6 seconds the weight reading will reset.
STEP 5: Slowly pour in water until the desired amount has been added. As soon as the scale detects the flow of water, the timer will start.
STEP 6: Once the desired brewing time has been reached, remove the brewing apparatus from the scale. The weight and timer will return to zero.
Switching off the Scale
Hold 'O / TARE' for 2-3 seconds. Auto switch off will occur if display shows '0' or the same weight reading for 1 minute.
NOTE: Auto switch off will not occur if the timer or stopwatch are in use. To maximise the battery life, switch the scale off when not in use.
Warning Indicators
- Lo: Low power; charge the scale.
- UnSt: Unstable platform, ensure scale is placed on a firm, flat surface.
- Err: Max. weight capacity exceeded; remove some weight from the platform.
- -: Negative load. Press 'O / TARE' to return to '0'.
